http://thevisiblepress.com/events/thanks for your advice cefiar.
what i really want is to just bypass expanded view, and have the collapsed agenda view link directly to the same page as the “read more” link that now appears at the bottom of the expanded view window.
expanding all events as default is not a solution as it will take up too much space. also, i have a problem with images in the expanded view – they are showing at full size and not resizing to the frame, so it makes this view a mess for me at the moment. http://thevisiblepress.com/events/
i already tried stream view also. i don’t like it as much, but also there is the “problem” of the timely logo if no image is attached, and that the text preview does not repect line returns (or cannot be edited).
making a custom calendar seems way beyond my ability. is there some way to more easily use elements of the stream view in the agenda view ? ie – take the link that appears in the event title of stream view & have it replace the “expand” link in agenda view. this is really what i’d like to have !

In reply to: [Blaskan] What is this number to the right of the post date ?thanks batharoy !
i permed through the files and deleted the useless temps. have a look in wp-content > unloads > backwpup-temp and delete everything except index and htaccess. doing this has enabled me to run both backwpup and duplicator without errors.
i am backing up to drop box.
unrelated to this problem, around the same time i also asked my service provider to increase the php timeout length (at recommendation of the duplicator developer), which should also help with backing up large files.
i think i’ve finally found the source of my problems with duplicator and backwpup …
backwpup was not deleting temp files from uncompleted / aborted backups, these were bloating the size of the blog & meant there were some very (unnecessary) large files causing problems. after deleting these files, i’ve successfully run backwpup and duplicator a couple of times.
i’ve discovered that this problem may be due to large temp files from uncompleted / aborted backups not being deleted & bloating the blog size.

i’ve just discovered that the backwpup temp folder is the reason why the size of my site has been ballooning the past few days – many temp files uselessly left there making what was a 60MB site now around 1.6GB.
i have also started to get a similar error today, followed by

“Thank you for your reply. I apologize for any confusion, the errors Myles was seeing were related to some of the settings in your php.ini being out of date. To resolve this, I have updated /home/markwebb/public_html/php.ini to reference the correct version of Zend Guard Loader. I have also raised the timeout for your script as suggested by the plugin developer.”
so i tried ago & creating the package ran for longer but still came back with an error. i suspect i might have to give up on this !
