I just deleted the old theme, downloaded/installed a new theme, and I am still getting this error message when trying to update the site: “Downloading update from https://downloads.wordpress.org/release/wordpress-5.1.6-new-bundled.zip…
Download failed.: cURL error 6: Couldn’t resolve host ‘downloads.wordpress.org’

When I try to update the PHP I get this message: “Unable to communicate back with site to check for fatal errors, so the PHP change was reverted. You will need to upload your PHP file change by some other means, such as by using SFTP.”
We have the login information for the backend of the WordPress side, but we cannot update the email address (we don’t have access to the old email address). When I send an email change request I don’t receive an email and we have tried multiple times to reset.
