The logic you described in your message is not supported out-of-box by Email Before Download.
However, you could probably create a post (listing a pdf file) with a link that leads to another post containing the Email Before Download shortcode which will display to the user the form which they can fill and finally get the download link. Hope this helps.

It seems that you changed to an older version of the Contact Form 7 shortcode: [contact-form $contact_form_id \"$title\"].
I am wondering why this was needed. Can you please let us know the versions of your plugins as well as WordPress as it might help us support others?

Thanks for using our plugin. Unfortunately, this is not possible since Contact Form 7 sends an email before user can see the links and can actually click them.

Now I see what you mean. Currently no, we do not assign any event on the link clicks. But we will certainly consider adding this in a future release.

We found out there is an issue on your page the but we are not able to replicate it. Could you help us to fix it?
So we posted a new release yesterday that besides a couple of fixes with multiple download insures that utf8 character encoding is used when log xml is generated and saved into database. Please update your copy of the plugin and let us know if the issue is resolved or not.

You helped us a lot to debug the issue and find out where is plugin breaks for you. The only problem we are not able to replicate the same issue on our servers. Even with Russian characters it never breaks. So we would be happy if you could help us to fix it for you.

Thanks for using our plugin. Yes, if you select the email option in the Email Before Download plugin, there will be two emails. The default email is always sent by the Contact Form 7 plugin wherever that is configured (typically back to you for notification purposes) and the second will be sent to the user who is requesting the download by our Email Before Download plugin.
