The best thing to do would be to open a ticket at http://support.mainwp.com so a technician can troubleshoot your issue.
MainWP plugin has not been designed for WordPress Multi Site installations. It has not been fully tested on WPMS so we recommend to use it on Single Site installations.
Let’s start with a couple basic questions:
Do you see any warnings on MainWP Dashboard > Server Information > Server?
Do you see any errors on the MainWP Dashboard > Server Information > Error Log page?
Do you see any Warnings or Errors on the Child site having the syncing issue? You can check this at Child Site > MainWP Child > MainWP Server Information.
Marking this as resolved, since no further communication.
If you do need further assistance please open a ticket a support.mainwp.com
Currently if you check http://api.uptimerobot.com/your-api-key in your browser you should see the message “API maintenance. Will be up very soon.”
So it appears that Uptime Robot is performing maintenance and everything should begin working soon.
Please note that all Extension supports questions should go to http://support.mainwp.com/
The dashboard tries to connect to “url/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php”, if this fails it falls back to try “url”. The POST message we send is the same message we use in the test connection – however some hosts block certain keywords.
So if the Test Connection is successful and the actual connection is not that most likely means the host has some kind of security mod enabled for apache (or whatever the webserver you are on). This can be hard to debug yourself.
If you would like further assistance please open a ticket a support.mainwp.com
If the test connection is showing a 200 response and you have verified the IP that your Dashboard is correct then you need to look for possible security plugins or hosting security blocking your connection.
If it is still an issue after that open a ticket a support.mainwp.com

The main reason is to avoid any unknown plugin conflicts since your MainWP Dashboard is performing so many tasks for you.
If it is a “vanilla” install that you do not use for anything else it will be fine.

Please check these areas:
Do you see any errors when you go to Server Information –> Error Log on your Dashboard?
Do you see any warning when you go to Server Information –> Server on your Dashboard?
Do you see any Status Failed or Errors on the Child site when you go to the MainWP Server Information page on the Child?
Is the Child site your trying to connect added to your Dashboard and the message remains or is the Child site not adding?
