Thank you for your feedback, it’s appreciated.
if MainWP could alert and show updates for the themes. it does on some but not for others.
MainWP will alert you to updates for Themes if they are using the standard WordPress HTTP API to hook into “update_plugins” Transient. Generally the issue is only seen on premium themes using their own update process. You can look over A Guide to the WordPress HTTP API: Automatic Plugin Updates for a bit more detail
as better integration with security plugins like Wordfence, iThemes Security and All in One WP Security then I’d change this review to 5 star
We have Extensions and full integration for both iThemes Security and WordFence so if either one of those is causing you an issue I would recommend opening a ticket at the MainWP Support Desk so we can look into it. Currently I do not see any reports of issues with either plugin.
Hope that helps a little and thanks again for your feedback.
This was resolved in MainWP Dashboard version 2.0.22
It could be an issue with the FileSystem Method or FTP permissions, please check the Server Settings page for any errors or warnings (/wp-admin/admin.php?page=ServerInformation)
If you see anything there please open a ticket at support.mainwp.com and we’ll be glad to dive into it deeper for you.
I agree and I’ll look into it. However, if you are afraid a subscriber will be set up I would recommend the free Clean and Lock Extension to help lock your Dashboard down.
That bar only shows on your MainWP Dashboard site, not the MainWP Child sites.
I’ll look into why it is showing for non-admins but you should NOT allow subscribers to access your MainWP Dashboard site.
In addition we HIGHLY recommend a NEW WordPress install for your MainWP Dashboard. Using a new WordPress install will help to cut down on Plugin Conflicts and other issues that can be caused by trying to run your MainWP Main Dashboard from an active site. Most hosting companies provide free subdomains (“demo.yourdomain.com”) and we recommend creating one if you do not have a specific dedicated domain to run your MainWP Dashboard.
If you are not sure how to set up a subdomain, contact your hosting companies support.
Thank you for your feedback it is much appreciated.
Please add any ideas you have to the Feature Request area, this allows us to track ideas and helps them not to get lost in support tickets.
Please be sure to add details to your suggestions I think I may be missing some of your ideas in the translation.
Thank you for your feedback, it is very much appreciated.
I’m not really following what you are saying about Vimeo CDN and moogaloop.swf since that is not a function of MainWP but it seems you may have plugins other then MainWP installed on your Dashboard site which could cause some issues.
Having other plugins installed something we highly discourage and try to point that out in Step 1 of the Installation:

If something wasn’t working the way you expected we would be happy to look into your issues and see if we can find a solution, if you would like please open a support ticket and we’ll be happy to try and help.
Can you verify that cURL is installed and enabled on your Child site and if it isn’t please enable it.
If it is already enabled or if that doesn’t help please open a support ticket in the MainWP Support Portal.
I’m also not sure about editing your post in this forum since it is posted in the Plugins and Hacks section instead of the MainWP forum, you may want to reach out to a Moderator to see if they can edit it for you.
What do you see when you run the Test Connection feature?
The Test Connection feature is specifically testing what your Dashboard can “see” and what your Dashboard “sees” and what my Dashboard “sees” or what your browser “sees” can be completely different things.
I would also recommend editing your first post and remove your server information, just to be on the safe side.
Does that site have the MainWP Dashboard or Child plugin on it?
Not sure I am following your issue. Can you give me the exact steps to re-create your issue?
More then likely your CSS is cached. Try forcing a browser refresh:
Windows: ctrl + F5
Mac/Apple: Apple + R or command + R
Linux: F5If that doesn’t work please try restarting your browser.
Support was able to track the issue to cURL being disabled on the server, once that was enabled the plugin was able to run the Test Connection Feature and Add Sites.
If you want to control the SEO by Yoast settings directly from your Dashboard across all your child sites then you would need the MainWP WordPress SEO Extension.
We have not seen this before with other users. Please open a support ticket so that we can help troubleshoot this issue for you. You can open a support ticket here http://support.mainwp.com
