In reply to: WordPress Database Backup: No Scheduled Backup? It took some time for the scheduled backups to work. I do not know why, however, schedule backups have been created for weeks, so I consider this issue resolved.
Thanks again, I have just upgraded to version 2.1.4 and the problem is definitely no longer reproducible. Great job, thank you!
Thank you, Ikki24, the suggested UTF-8 amendment of wordpress-popular-posts.php fixed the issue.

In reply to: WordPress-based Social Media Kit: GPL?http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GNU_General_Public_License should help:
The GPL is an example of a powerful copyleft license that requires derived works to be available under the same copyleft. Under this philosophy, the GPL grants the recipients of a computer program the rights of the free software definition and uses copyleft to ensure the freedoms are preserved, even when the work is changed or added to. This is in distinction to permissive free software licenses, of which the BSD licenses are the standard examples.

In reply to: [Plugin: WP-DBManager] Does not work after wordpress 2.9Same problem here, backup software works only if started manually. Any ideas?
The problem exist only with one WP installation, with another WP installation on the same server, backup software works as expected.

@melvinram: Have you been able to gather your thoughts?
The above-mentioned guidelines apply only to plugins hosted by WordPress. It is therefore your choice: Comply with the guidelines or remove the plugin from the WordPress plugin directory.
@decarn: It is not a matter of integrity, it is a matter of the GPL, i.e. you can use, etc. ‘premium’ themes on as many Web sites as you like.

In reply to: [Plugin: WordPress Popular Posts] Template does not work in v2.0Is it somehow possible to disable to update notification for version 2.0?

In reply to: [Plugin: WordPress Popular Posts] Template does not work in v2.0The 2.0 upgrade description did not contain any hint that the template usage would no longer work. Why do you want to force me to use a widget???
