In reply to: Search box and form fields not showing up.Hello conkel177. Sounds like a headache.
Did you try switching to a different theme to see if that would solve the problem? Then you’d know for certain it’s a theme issue.
Cheers.

In reply to: For all you radio geeks out thereYou need to hide the <div class=”entry-utility”></div> in your css.
You should be able to easily try out other themes and see which you prefer. Regarding child themes, depending on your knowledge you may want to take a look at this page…

In reply to: For all you radio geeks out thereHi Bob. That’s a very nice, clean, and user-friendly site you’ve got there.
Do you have your child theme set up so you can try out some other themes? Which “long footer” are you referring to?
Cheers.

In reply to: No Theme options buttonHello PWSurveyors. Happy to try and help you here. Can you clarify a bit? You’re not seeing Customize, Widgets, etc in the Appearance section?
Might want to check out the Blogly support. I can’t access because it’s private for members only…

In reply to: Website Review and SuggestionsDefinitely an improvement. Nice job.
Try working on the color palette a bit… adding a couple of different shades of green and a complementary color?
Take a look at https://kuler.adobe.com for inspiration.

In reply to: Suggest improvements on my new business siteHello Andrew. Congrats on getting your new site up and running! Chris offered some great advice regarding Analytics and Webmaster Tools.
A little bit of design advice from me… do with it what you will. I’m not a fan of the ‘Tangerine’ script font you’re using for your H2s. They seem too light to me. Perhaps use the same H1 font but a couple of points smaller. And work in a new color. With your neutral palette you’ve got plenty of opportunity to bring in some nice highlight colors. Take a look at https://kuler.adobe.com for inspiration. Bring your site to life!
I would also suggest looking for (or buying) some stock art that isn’t quite so generic. The images you’re using now could live on almost any site. Find something unique and run with it… duotones, add in a graphical element, etc. How about a logo for your name rather than the text treatment?
If you make updates come back and let us know. Happy to take another look.
Happy WPing!

In reply to: [zeeFlow] SliderHello Paulamoc. Happy to help. Can you pass along your url? Without seeing your site I’m guessing your images are different dimensions. If all of your slider images are the same (and set to the same size in the code)… the slider shouldn’t change.
Cheers.

In reply to: Jetpack Individual View StatsHello bricklayer.payne. You’re referring to the “enhanced stats” on WordPress.com, right? That’s a great question. I’m bringing this topic back up here because I haven’t been able to find anything. Anybody else?
I would think there is a good reason for them not showing the individual stats at this time. And hopefully future upgrades will include them.
Cheers.

In reply to: I would really appreciate your feedbackHello namhuy. Congrats on getting your Linux blog up and running. I’m happy to provide some UX/design feedback…
If you’re just looking to have a very basic, straight forward informational blog… you’ve got it. No bells and whistles — a decent user interface that does the job.
But it’s very cookie-cutter and actually looks a little dated. Take a look at a site like TechCrunch for example. Very informational… but clean and interesting while still very easy to navigate.
Try to create a logo (or have a designer help). Modernize the color palette. Take a look at https://kuler.adobe.com/ for inspiration. Create some hierarchy with font sizes. Work in some more interesting graphics/photos. Information is great and you appear to have plenty of it! Now give your viewers a more sophisticated design.
If you make changes let us know and we’ll take another look. Good luck and happy WPing!
