In reply to: [Forever] custom headerThat is a nice looking site. They’re using the ProPhoto theme… http://www.prophoto.com/ which is available to purchase.
Your website is hosted by WordPress, correct? If so you don’t have the ability to use plugins. Plugins are developed for self-hosted sites. Learn more about the differences here…
http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/I’m not seeing the pixelation in the logo. It’s sized properly… meaning it has the correct dimensions and isn’t being stretched. You would need to clean up the artwork and resave/upload.

In reply to: Admin and end user websitesHello youvish000. Welcome to WP!
What you’re looking to do is very doable with WordPress. But for somebody new the features you’re looking to incorporate will take a bit of learning. Depending on your knowledge level, you may want to get started here…

In reply to: [Forever] custom headerHello Kristind. Welcome to WP! Great start on your website… and I really dig your owl logo.
Can you explain what you mean by custom header? I see you’ve already added your own custom header/logo image.
And there are a few different ways to add a “slideshow” to your page. Easiest way might be to use a plugin like this…

In reply to: Review my site: ABD Graphic DesignNo issues now with loading time for me. I think you’ll be fine with adding in the slideshow. Just make sure to optimize your images a bit. PNGs under 200k or so should do the trick.
I’d be happy to take another look for you if/when you add it back in.
Happy WPing!

In reply to: Review my site: ABD Graphic DesignHello abdgd. Congrats on launching your new website! As a designer I’m sure you understand the importance of showcasing your work and talent.
My first reaction is that the site (theme) is nice and clean. But it’s lacking visual interest. I strongly suggest you show off your design skills on the homepage and draw your viewers in. Give them a reason to stick around and see what you can do!
I’ll be happy to take another look when you get a bit further along.
Happy WPing!

In reply to: Problems Embedding Youtube Video to Virtue ThemeWow Chris. Still no luck. This shouldn’t be such a head scratcher. Any chance you have another blog that you can try the same link in?
Might not be a bad idea to set up a test blog with a different theme.

In reply to: Pros and cons in WordPress?Hello PatsyFinn. I think you may find us a bit biased here… but I’ve worked with WP and Joomla — and WP is far and away the better option.
WP is much more user-friendly. It has a greater set of features, plugins, themes, etc. And WP has worked really hard to make the upkeep as painless as possible. I could go on and on, but I think you get the idea.
That’s my opinion and I’m sticking to it! 🙂
