They are not fixing this, read the link below:

They are not doing it. In my case I had to disable 404 reporting as well as file change detection.

@joelcj91 Many thanks for your quick reply.
Cheers!
I agree with this, this a good idea. I find myself flipping through a lot of pages to review the logs
@giorgio25b thanks for that explanation. I did compared the file with the one before the update and there was no change from one version to the other. I have boomarked your solution on my end just in case I run into this situation.
Hi (@giorgio25b) thanks for posting your solution. My version seems to work OK on my end, what is interesting is I don’t have an opening <?php or a closing ?> on my .htaccess file
Read the comments in this link:
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/latest-update-missing-a-button-to-clear-logs/This is really unfortunate; this deleted function of clearing the logs on the fly was insanely useful to us.
Well this is interesting…

In reply to: [WPS Hide Login] This plug in is NOT SAFEI have been using this plugin for a long time now with No issues. When setting up a plugin that requires new URL formatting, you have to make sure you clear caches like Cloudflare, W3 Total Cache, etc, and of course your own browser. Also a conflict with another security plugin might be an issue with a setting.
I can only speak for my own experience, I am running the latests version of WordPress, PHP 7.1

In reply to: [404 Error Logger] Please Update This PluginHi Samir,
I think you have a great plugin, the problem is that because is has not been updated in over a year many of my clients refuse to install your plugin as they are afraid they might be a security flaw or other issues with their current WordPress environment. I frankly can blame them for their fears. I am pretty sure that if you updated the plugin you would get more installs, including those from my clients.
Best regards,
