I found a solution that worked for me.
My issue was also related to .htaccess and rewrite rules like in the link @mjordansc posted.
Easiest way to fix it is going to permalink settings and just hit the “save” button.
This should add the wordpress rewrite block in .htaccess and it solved the problem for me.
This would be worth mentioning somewhere in contact form 7 documentation as I’m sure it could help others.

Thank you for the prompt answer.
After running some tests,
it appears that zoooom won’t work when placed after an image carousel.
This conflict only happens when ‘Picture Size’ is set to ‘auto’
in the carousel settings.
Hope it helps to solve this issue.
I would appreciate any help in order to fix this.
