In reply to: [Redux Framework] Update to 4.5.3 breaks my siteWell, this puts us at an impasse. I have to have that information. You can either obtain it from your PHP error logs, or the admin of the site should have received an email about the error, where the actual error would be shown.
Alternatively, you could download, install and activate our beta version, v 4.5.3.3: https://github.com/reduxframework/redux-framework/archive/refs/heads/master.zip
It has some fixes that may or may not help. Those are your only options.

In reply to: [Redux Framework] Update to 4.5.3 breaks my siteYou’re going to have to post the actual error and then we’ll see if the issue with with Redux or the theme. “I got a critical error” tells me nothing. It’s like calling a mechanic over the check engine light and asking them to fix it.
To do what, exactly? 4.5.3.3 is just newer. It’ll be fine.

In reply to: [Redux Framework] Plugin conflicts after updateThe theme author’s ‘core’ plugin is using an outdated extension for the accordion control that is already included with Redux. It’s no longer needed. The theme author needs to remove it from their package (alternatively, if you do not have the latest version of their theme or core plugin, you should update both, they may have already done so. I could not tell you as we do not have access to premium themes and do not support themes that use Redux). The latest version is v1.2.0, released yesterday. Regardless, the theme author will have to help you update their plugin.
Good luck.
Please download, install and activate this 4.5.3.2 beta, which addresses this issue. I don’t know when the release will be official, so I can’t answer when that will be. You can use the beta version until that time with no issue.

In reply to: [Redux Framework] Plugin conflicts after updateI will need to you provide a more detail message than “critical error.” That’s like calling a mechanic about a check engine light coming on and asking them to fix it over the phone. If Leksa using Redux for it’s options, chances are it’s not conflicting with the theme’s core, otherwise the theme author would be answering support emails all day.
After a critical error, the admin receives an email with the more details PHP message, That’s what I need to know to determine if it’s a Redux issue or a theme issue.

In reply to: [Redux Framework] Unable to update to the latest versionHonestly, I don’t know. Unless there is an error, this sounds more like a WordPress issue.
You’re free to try our beta, v4.5.3.2 from our repo to see if it makes any difference: https://github.com/reduxframework/redux-framework/archive/refs/heads/master.zip
If not, you may have toi contact WordPress support about a plugin not updating. If you discover an error, say in your PHP error logs that pertains to Redux, report it to us immediately.
Good luck.

In reply to: [Redux Framework] Crtiical Error 4.5.3You do understand that if you don’t tell me the specific error, that tell me you got a critical error and nothing else markedly inhibits my ability to offer help. It’s like telling a mechanic you got a check engine light and to fix it over the phone. Rolling back after telling the the specific error would have been better. Now there isn’t much I can do. Sorry. I’m closing the ticket. If you are able to obtain the information I need, feel free to open a new ticket.

In reply to: [Redux Framework] Update and Errors TodayUpdate to v4.5.3, please. I removed the deprecation notice. I don’t like doing so many updates so soon, but too many people are flooding my support box. It looks as if we’re going to have to support old Redux 3 code for the foreseeable future due to all those old extensions that no one is updating.

In reply to: [Redux Framework] Update and Errors TodayThat’s not an error; it’s a deprecation notice we added so theme authors will stop using old Redux 3.x legacy code and update their assets. Please notify the author of your theme and ask them to make the necessary code changes. If they have additional questions, they can use our GitHub issue tracker.
Good luck.

In reply to: [Redux Framework] Redux Framework ErrorWhoa. Yeah. That’s a legacy theme. Your fix will certainly suffice. I’d just keep it and not worry about an update.

In reply to: [Redux Framework] Redux Framework ErrorWell, that will work. If he has other extensions, it will also disable them. If you update the theme or the swift plugin, your change will be undone. This is why I wish theme authors would not embed. Things like this happen. What’s the name of the theme? I used to know Ed, the author. Maybe I can ping him about it.

In reply to: [Redux Framework] Problems after the last updateThat old WBC Importer is still use the old Redux v3 way of doing this and is outdated. I really with the guy who wrote it would update it. I restore the old way Redux handles the filesystem, but a deprecation notice was added. Theme authors could easily update that code if they wanted to spend a half hour on it.
By the way, PHP 8 will eventually break it when they decide to end support for dynamically created variables. Heads up on that. Tell the theme author now!
I dropped Redux 4.5.2 a few minutes ago which will stop the WBC Import error.

In reply to: [Redux Framework] Redux Framework ErrorContact the developer and ask him to remove that extension. It’s part of the core now and he no longer needs to include it.
