In reply to: Themes no longer appear in editor. Same with plugins.Did you find a solution? I’m having a similar problem where when I click on Appearance Editor I get the message, “Sorry, that file cannot be edited.” Same with the Plugins editor.

In reply to: “Cannot load akismet-key-config” errordwitzel — did you also get the problem where the appearance editor and plugins editor isn’t accessible through the Dashboard? I found a Web site that addresses this but they say it’s permissions and I’m reluctant to change my permissions (CHMOD). My host tried that and it didn’t work.

I found lots of posts related to this issue on the WordPress forum but no one is posting any solutions! It’s maddening.
I downloaded 2.7.1 again and installed it for a second site and I’m getting the same issues with Akismet and the appearance and plugin editors.
Ugh!

In reply to: theme-editor.php 2.7I have this problem too. And there is no help here for it. I’ve never seen this before and I’m thinking of installing an older version. It’s happening with my 2.7.1 version.

In reply to: Cannot load functions.php.The themes folder is at 755 and it still doesn’t work. I don’t want it at 777 due to security.
Any other ideas? Is this a 2.7.1 bug? I’m thinking of installing an older version of WP just to move on.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Cannot load functions.php.I’m having the same issue. WP 2.7.1, theme is WordPress Default (same error with Coogee theme, which is the theme I want to use).
i’m also not able to launch the theme editor. Error message is: Sorry that file cannot be edited.
I’d appreciate any guidance. I have never had to change the CHMOD on my files but I did try and gave the theme-editor.php 775 but that didn’t fix it.
