In reply to: [WooCommerce Shipping] Tracking number doesn’t link to proper URLHi @signalhealth, sorry to hear you are experiencing issues. May I ask that you please let us know which carrier the link is for and at which location the link is located in your wp-admin area then we will confirm. You are welcome to share screenshots, just blur our the tracking numbers and any other private information before sharing it.
Hi @adgitate, sorry to see you feel the plugin does not bring value to you.
Please note that WooCommerce Shipping is not a replica to WooCommerce Shipping & Tax but instead a brand new extension built from the group up.
The USPS rates functionality you talk about in WooCommerce Shipping & Tax have also been deprecated for 6 years already and we only kept access to those that used it prior to the deprecation as a gesture of good faith. You can continue to use WooCommerce Shipping & Tax if you wish to keep using USPS live rates, or if you’d prefer to use WooCommerce Shipping then please reach out to support so we can see how we can accommodate you to make that happen.
Also may I please ask you reconsider the 1 star review as I feel it is not fair rating a plugin on a feature that we do not advertise as being supported.
Thanks!

In reply to: [WooCommerce Shipping] Lost the “Create Label” Button on orders?Hi @plcexchange, sorry to hear you are experiencing issues.
The behaviour you describe sounds like a plugin conflict, the the button is not loading then it means something is prohibiting the javascript files from WooCommerce Shipping to load.
You can check the developer console for any errors that indicate an issue and let us know, and/or do a plugin conflict check by disabling all plugins except WooCommerce and WooCommerce Shipping and see if this resolves the issue for your.
Alternatively please also ensure you clear all your caches and try and see if this perhaps makes the buttons and settings screen show.

In reply to: [WooCommerce Shipping] Shipping options not adequateHi @cogburnarsenal, sorry to hear you feel this way. I assume you are referring to the USPS live rates that were present in WooCommerce Shipping & Tax and now not in WooCommerce Shipping?
Just for clarity, WooCommerce Shipping is not WooCommerce Shipping & Tax. It is a brand new extension the might offer similar functionality, but is entirely built from the ground up and not just an update.
WooCommerce Shipping does not offer shipping methods, so giving it a 1 star review for a feature it does not have feels a bit unfair. Specially so since we do not advertise it has this feature, so would appreciate if you can reconsider your review.
A note on the live rates in WooCommerce Shipping & Tax, that feature was deprecated in Oct 2018 already and was not available as an option to new stores since then. Only those that used it prior to the deprecation had access. If you wish to retain your live rates functionality then you can continue to use WooCommerce Shipping & Tax instead of WooCommerce Shipping. We are working on an update to ensure live rates from WooCommerce Shipping & Tax works alongside WooCommerce Shipping if you have both plugins active at the same time, but since this features has been deprecated for so long I would rather recommend you look into the official USPS extension instead.

In reply to: [WooCommerce Shipping] Mark order complete functionality not workingThats for follow up @harleec, based on the error log you posted all those are originating from the Multi Carrier Shipping plugin.
Regarding the messaging about labels being migrated, that will go away once all the labels have successfully migrated. If you have a lot of orders with labels purchased through WooCommerce Shipping & Tax then that process can take quite a while as labels are migrated in batches at a time.

In reply to: [WooCommerce Shipping] Mark order complete functionality not workingHi @harleec, sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue. I tried to replicate this locally with WooCommerce Shipping 1.1.1 but was unable.
What I did notice was that if you use the back arrow after completing the purchase the status was not immediately reflected on the order screen, however, if you refresh the order page it reflects the completed status.
We will look into making the changes reflect on the edit order screen without requiring a reload.
Can you please confirm if the order is show as completed if you refresh the edit order page?

In reply to: [WooCommerce Shipping] Nice pugin – Tech Support is engaged and responsiveHi @drjx, thanks for the review. We appreciate it and glad to hear you are happy with it. We strive to continue building out features to make the experience even better with each release.
My only complaint is that there is no way to use DDP service (delivery duty paid) which means we can’t use it for shipping to private consumers in EU countries. But as DDP requires a “bill back” from DHL after they pay the duty/vat, I understand how this would get complicated. But I remain hopeful; if anyone can figure it out, I have confidence in these developers.
Noted, and thanks for understanding. Unfortunately due to how billing works with WooCommerce Shipping this is complicated indeed. I am sure if there’s a big enough need for this we will figure a way out to make it happen.

In reply to: [WooCommerce Shipping] WAIT BEFORE “UPGRADING”! [REVISED]Hi @grangep, I am sorry to hear you are feeling this way around WooCommerce Shipping.
I just wanted to clarify some things about WooCommerce Shipping for you, while I do not expect this to change your review immediately I do hope the changes we make will eventually persuade you to change this review.
To start off, the intention of WooCommerce Shipping was not to be an upgrade at first to WooCommerce Shipping & Tax, otherwise we would have just pushed an update to that plugin.
WooCommerce Shipping is a brand new shipping plugin build from the ground up, it was not copy and pasted and modified, we really spend a lot of effort and time into this plugin and went through a lot of research around order fulfillment and countless merchant interviews of existing WooCommerce Shipping & Tax users to come up with what we have. Yes, nobody is perfect, but feedback can help us get close to it so we rely on the feedback from the community to improve our product. We can also build a plugin for years, but getting it out to customers to use it is where we refine it to a great product based on the feedback, so I ask you to please be patient while we work through the feedback.
Then I’d like to address your individual remarks around certain features:
USPS rate quotes in cart/checkout are gone
Live rates have not been part of WooCommerce Shipping & Tax for many years now, it was a trial we ran and that was eventually terminated in 2018 due to it not being sustainable and open to abuse. As a gesture of good faith we then kept access for the accounts that signed up initially. If you were one of those affected by this then I ask you please reach out to WooCommerce Support so we can find a solution to accommodate you while we evaluate a more sustainable live rates solution for WooCommerce Shipping.Usability is worse
While we understand your frustration, the new interface and flow was done based on numerous research and merchant interviews of existing WooCommerce Shipping & Tax users. I did acknowledge that nobody is perfect so we value to the feedback and will make work to improve on this. Many small, but essential features are removed
Re-purchasing new labels for an order – This was more of an oversight on the WooCommerce Shipping & Tax side, the button is actually greyed out but was not completely disabled. In a real fulfillment scenario doing this would mean you are altering stock without adjusting your stock levels, I would suggest you rather create a new order in wp-admin for shipping out replacement items and rather discount it 100%. We are also aware that there are use cases where a merchant do want to print once off labels so it is on our radar to add this ability in the future.
Auto-validation of addresses – WooCommerce Shipping actually do not require you to have to validate an address to print a shipping label. You are able to purchase a label without validating the address, only when the carrier cannot find the address will we throw an error during label purchase and ask you as a merchant to intervene and validate the address. You will also be glad to hear that we have a validation at checkout feature that is very close to completion that when enabled will give your customer the ability at checkout to validate their address, this streamlining the label purchase process even more.
modifying/deleting saved package templates – We are aware of this issue and are already working on a fix for this.
Many bugs!
We’d be happy to hear what these bug are and we will gladly make work on fixing them, again we can build the product as perfect as we think, but it needs to be used to find things that are overseen, not everybody’s site is the same so there are definitely things that we cannot account for in lab conditions.
As a team we are really striving to make this product the best we can, but we rely on your feedback to make that happen, so thank again for your honest review and feedback, and hopefully we can get you to change this to a 5 star review very soon.

In reply to: [WooCommerce Shipping] Can’t buy additional labels for same orderHi @bliteknight, I do apologise for the frustration this has caused. I just want to note that WooCommerce Shipping is a brand new plugin written from the ground up and not just an update to WooCommerce Shipping & Tax, so the features will differ. A lot of the decisions around WooCommerce Shipping was made through fulfillment research and interviews with existing merchants.
Just creating a new label is not a general flow for a merchant when fulfilling orders or damaged goods as it has impact on stock levels and accounting.
A more widely accepted approach that I might suggest is creating a new order and just discounting it to 100%, this way your stock levels will stay in sync.
I do want to highlight that on our radar there is a feature to allow creating once off labels that are not tied to orders, unfortunately this is not high on our priority list atm.
I hope this gives you some insight into why things are the way they are and at least give you a way to overcome this hurdle.
Thanks!

In reply to: [WooCommerce Shipping] Where did the USPS Shipping Method Go?Hi @schwarttzy, I can understand your frustration with the live rates not being available anymore. I just want to give you some background around live rates in WooCommerce Shipping & Tax, this was deprecated 6 years ago and only those that made use of the feature before it was deprecated had access, so you obviously are one of those.
WooCommerce Shipping is a brand new plugin built from the group up and is not just an update to WooCommerce Shipping & Tax. We made the decision not to carry over live rates in it’s current form as it has been deprecated for so long. We are however evaluating how we can introduce a new live rates feature into WooCommerce Shipping.
Can I please ask that you contact WooCommerce support so we can see if we can help you out with an interim solution?
