In reply to: Forced upgrade! No login– just back to install page!Yep, your right, I freaked out and went right for the upgrade which now clearly seems like the dumbest thing I could have done. I did a backup of my database prior to my “upgrade”. After checking my database I can see that what you said about the options table is exactly correct. I’ve got this error message:
#1016 – Can’t open file: ‘wp_options.MYI’ (errno: 145) and#1105 – File ‘./blog/wp_options.MYD’ not found (Errcode: 13)
Is there anyway to repair this? The wp-options table shows ‘in use’. Should I go ahead and restore my database to before the upgrade? Will that help?

In reply to: Permalink and category links broken in 2.6As of right now non of my permalinks work and I’m not sure how this fix actin would work for the calender links

In reply to: Permalink and category links broken in 2.6Otto,(or ANYONE) at the risk of sounding really retarded, when you said change the permalink setting to just “category” and “tag”. Were you talking about creating a custom stucture :/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/ and changing the variables to category and tag or to just type that in in the category base and tag base. Sorry to sound so simple, but I’ve been screwing around with this all day, my brain is fried.

In reply to: login problemsI wish I could help you I have pretty much the same issue, I can’t login since my upgrade, but my e-mail address is fine, I had a new password set to me and it still didn’t work. I deleted my cookies and I changed my password in phpMyadmin. It just keeps saying please login again. If I type the wrongpassword it says incorrect password, if I type th correct one it says please login again. So I don’t know..
