The only way to have a preview of a PDF currently is to create another PDF containing just the preview section. GDE will display the complete document.
In normal circumstances a Google account doesn’t make a difference one way or the other. Certainly no account is required. There are instances where a Google login can become expired/corrupt which might prompt a user to relogin. Clearing Google cookies (or just logging out/in) will solve this.

That will let me reproduce your environment as much as possible, or if you’re willing you can privately give me temporary access to your admin panel that way. I’ve tried to reproduce your steps but haven’t been successful. It’s certainly not normal behavior, but I’m glad you’re able to work around it for now by disabling the integration.

You’re correct, the shortcode is well documented and you can certainly formulate it yourself. But I’d like more information about this so I can see if it’s something repairable or a quirk in your environment.

The protocol-less URL is actually a “feature” in that it will load the viewer in whatever protocol (http/https) the parent page is using. Otherwise you can run into the ugly outcome of an https page trying to load an http instance of the viewer, which will be blocked in most browsers.
All that to say, that behavior is intentional and shouldn’t cause problems.

I don’t know how you fared with this suggestion, but I’ll be adding support for extensionless URLs in the upcoming 2.6 version. If there is no file extension it will attempt to check the file based on the mime-type it returns when loading its contents.

I’ve tested out those options again on the current GDE and WordPress and all seems to be working as expected. I am able to hide individual toolbar items or the whole toolbar.
If you’ll use the support form in GDE Settings I’ll be able to take a look at your profile settings and maybe see what’s going on?

In reply to: [Google Doc Embedder] 1000 Row Table Limit??There shouldn’t be any problem using 2 or more viewers on the same page. You may wish to use the standard viewer option though if you find the loading speed of your page is too severely impacted. That option will always load the fastest.

Unfortunately the issue you described is a Google-imposed limit on the viewer application. Your users would have to download the document to view any rows past 1000.
