Hey,

yeah I couldn’t resolve the error/bug.
I suspect some of the many plugin collides with each other. It isn’t even possible to enable guest orders.

On the bright side the error/bug doens’t occur anymore, at least for some weeks now. All the orders which had missing accounts were created manually with an bulk process, which was made possible by Automator. The account were only needed so the users could get access to the website. Doing it that way I had to manually connect each order with the specific account (so it was sort of an automatic/bulk process). But I had only to do it for 86 accounts, so it wasn’t that bad.

Forcing the users to create an account or log in before making any order would be also a possibility to make sure it won’t happen again, but it would be a worse user experience. After some consideration that’s something I/we don’t want.

Later this year the webiste will be relaunched and I think I will be able set up a clean WooCommerce shop with memberships where you will be able to buy digital porcuts as agroup. That’s basically what the website is doing now, but there are for sure too many plugins.

So all in all I think the thread can be closed.

Hi, sorry for the late reply.
I couldn’t find any patterns or whatsoever. I also have the right settings for Accounts & Privacy and couldn’t find any suspicious error logs, or rather error logs which I would identify as such.

I think my WooCommerce installation may be bugged, because I couldn’t even activate guest orders if I wanted to. There are probably too much plugins which could be responsible for the bug/error.

Thank you for the plugin recommendation. I found and tested already another plugin, which forces the user to log in or register before checkout, which would also work for me. But for now the error/bug don’t accour for now and if it did in the past, it wasn’t that often.

For all those orders with no account I will bulk create the accounts, which will be OK for now. However if you are still interested in the reports I can provide them, but I highly suspect plugin conflicts. I expect the website to work accordingly after the planned relaunch this year.

I think you’re right, I was overthinking my use case a little. It’s not that I couldn’t use regex, it’s only that I couldn’t use it as I would’ve expected it and it took me a little bit too long to understand it. Now that I’ve solved my use case I’m satisfied, but couldn’t let it slide without asking for a little of a feedback 😀

I think I needed regex to target every URL of mine website, so I would write it in that manner /*. without the * it wouldn’t target any other pages besided the home page itself. I didn’t know any other way to achieve besides regex.

And I think I will let it go now with solving my use case and after getting a better understanding of the plugin.

Hey guys,

as far I can tell the hotfix still wasn’t released so I also get the same error as you. The patch should have been released early this week as you can read in the official post of Brainstorm above, but it wasn’t, so I guess they having some difficulties.

I forgot to add some details on my last post. The error exist now for some time and the last time I mentioned the error (02/12/21) I had the following version details:

Astra Version: 3.0.2
Elementor Version: 3.1.1
Elementor Pro: Version 3.0.10

just in case my problem is a different one, I get a similar error.

Uncaught TypeError: can't access property "querySelector", i is null.

I can provide you further details if needed.

I’m some sort of able to reproduce the problem. My problem is bound the Astra Theme and Elementor Pro. To be more specific, this problem “always” occur when I implement the global header template from Elementor Pro.

I tested all Plugins one by one and so it always comes to Elementor Pro and Astra. Not the Astra Pro Addon.

I tested multiple versions of the Elementor and Elementor Pro Plugin and it didn’t help. What helped was to install an older version of Astra. When I installed the Astra theme version 2.6.2, there is no problem at all.

But there is one thing I don’t understand. I think it’s kinda dependent on how I installed my plugins. Unfortunately I can’t remember anymore what I did a few weeks ago, but installing a complete new WordPress website and installing my Plugins from the WordPress Backend (instead of FTP) I could somehow bypass this problem. So I can’t explain why some of my websites get this error and others not.

All I can tell, it started with the 3.0 update. Normally I copy all my plugins via FTP or the C-Panel of my hosting provider into my website and start buildung from there on.

After building the client website for about 30 hours I haven’t the time anymore for a new/clean/fresh website and I don’t want to modify any files which will be potentially updated by you.

I would like to know, if there is any reason to implement the parameters in the function when they aren’t used?

In that function example these two parameters ($login_url, $redirect) aren’t used. So I left them out is that OK, or is there a reason for me to keep them?

Further I would like to ask if it would be safe to change to snippet to:

So here in my example I left the parameters out and changed the return of the site URL a little bit.

The main reason for that is, to get rid of the strange looking URL after the redirect, which in my case looked like that:
https://my-domain.de/login/?redirect_to=https://my-domain.de/

By changing the code like I did (example code above), my URL after the redirect looks like that:
https://my-domain.de/login/

Can you give me some sort of advice or explanation if I’m missing something please?
