I have tried adding your CSS code to the theme I am running but it doesn’t seem to address the issue I am facing.
The events list widget still publishes events in text in font size much larger than other widgets.
I can’t decipher where to target the exact CSS code either using the Inspect Element function (as in I do not know where “hfeed vcalendar” is derived).
Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks for your reply. However, I am merely using The Events Calendar’s pre-programmed data entry interface and so I don’t think I have any control over the date format settings via (Events > Settings > Display). These have been left as per default.
I can merely see the html markup for the description of an event – not for anything else – and the description of an event isn’t where the problem is presenting itself.
Would appreciate further feedback.
