In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Site Stats not workingHi there,
My jetpack site stats is showing a fraction of what google analytics is telling me. I read the thread above and looked at my stats through wordpress.com and those stats are also incorrect. It looks like other people are having issues viewing their complete stats as well – is the issue going to be fixed with a new wordpress update?
Thank you,
Julia Mueller

In reply to: Aligning post text with photographsIt probably is me who is confused but what I’m ultimately trying to get at is I would like the text to align with the edge of my photographs on the right side.
Thanks,
Julia

In reply to: Removing blog format from non-blog pagesThanks for getting back to me again…but I’m still wondering where I’m supposed to put the actual CSS code…I know there’s a spot for html on each page, but not css. Sorry, I’m a beginner at this…kind of need it spelled out for me. π
Thanks!!

In reply to: Removing blog format from non-blog pagesThanks, but what CSS page are you referring to? If I add it to Appearance > Edit CSS and put in the code you’re suggesting, won’t that remove the full headline/byline for my whole site, including my blog? I would like for my blog (the homepage) to still have header titles and bylines….let me know what CSS sheet you’re referring to.
Thanks,
Julia

In reply to: Adding written Bio next to photograph on sidebarThanks Krishna!
Okay, I’m sure this code needs a ridiculous amount of help, but here is what I tried:
<div align="left"><a href="http://www.theroastedroot.net/about/" title="about Julia"><img src="http://www.theroastedroot.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/sidebarimage1.jpg" alt="about Julia"></a></div> <div align=βrightβ><text=βHi there, Iβm Julia! I enjoy sharing nutrient-dense recipes, both savory and sweet. Iβm an amateur gardener and love the great outdoors! Learn more about me and visit often!β></a><div>What happened was the text in the footer moved to next to the image and the text I want next to my image does not appear. You can tell I’m new at code…any help would be great!!
Thanks!

In reply to: Removing blog format from non-blog pagesThank you,
This does remove the comments box, but it does not remove the Title, post date and number of comments at the top of the form. See: http://www.theroastedroot.net/recipes/ for example. I want to remove the whole first heading so that the first part of the page starts at “recipes by type”. In this sense, I want the blog format removed from every page except the homepage. Thanks again for the help and let me know what else I need to do π

In reply to: Comments form is not workingNo worries, definitely understandable. I appreciate the help π

In reply to: Comments form is not workingNope, that’s not it…They’re all approved and when you click {3 comments}, it still does not show the comments. Plus, my comments are set to post without approval.
Any idea why the end bracket on the {3 comments} drops off and moves to the end of the comment form when you click on {3 comments} ?
Thanks
Julia

In reply to: White screen of deathYes. Here’s the code I have in my child theme header:
[ Moderator Note: Please post code or markup snippets between backticks or use the code button. ]
/* Theme Name: Delicacy Child Theme URI: http://webtuts.pl/delicacy-en/ Description: Child theme for the Delicacy theme Author: Julia Mueller Template: delicacy . */Is that alright?
I’m changing a great deal of the styling, so I’m not using the @import statement – instead, I have copied and pasted the parent style.css and am changing it in my child style.css form. Does this mean I need to copy all of the relevant files from the parent theme into my child theme folder (for example, the borders that I want to keep and various little graphics)?
Thanks,
Julia

In reply to: White screen of deathScratch the first part of that…I had to rename the themes and plugins folder and now I can install themes. I have the Delicacy theme on there now (not acitvated) and tried uploading my child theme but when I preview it, it’s just a blank screen. I’m not sure why it’s not working because the same code was working before… is this just a bug with the Delicacy theme or should I send you my style.css code for the child theme?

In reply to: Uploading Child ThemeThanks a bunch for all of your help. I contacted Blue Host and had them re-set everything back to the default. Thanks again!

In reply to: Uploading Child ThemeI’ve tried renaming the child theme folder and I’ve even tried deleting the folder altogether and then re-creating it. I’ve also even tried deleting the original theme folder and re-uploading that too…It probably hasn’t helped the issue – all this deleting and re-uploading. I’ll follow the tutorial and see what happens. Did the rest of what I said before make sense (the code I showed you and using a full set of style code instead of the @import)? Thanks a bunch!
