In reply to: Background color disapearing after loadingThank you so much Max. Very impressive. I could have searched for years without even noticing the absence if this tag. 🙂

In reply to: Background color disapearing after loadingThanks, that makes a lot of sense, but I have no idea where such a second stylesheet could come from. Here’s a link

In reply to: [eShop] [Plugin: eShop] Checkout access deniedIt did. Everything is fine now, thanks for your help. One thing, though:
when you moved files a file permission was not set correctly
I had moved the site from the subfolder PRIOR to installing eShop…
I’ll keep checking it.TX

In reply to: [eShop] [Plugin: eShop] Checkout access deniedThanks for your suggestions. I checked the Checkout page and there was nothing in it except the shortcode. I created a new one and updated the eshop settings. I checked the new page before adding the shortcode and it was available, but as soon as I added the shortcode I got the “Access to directory denied”. I don’t know whether this info is helpfull or not. I will now proceed to install a fresh version of eShop, and let you know when it is done. For testing I will also deactivate the eShop translation.

In reply to: [eShop] [Plugin: eShop] Checkout access deniedYes, I did and got that:
That isn’t very helpful, since they just toss it out there like a shotgun approach to possible issues (and I’m not sure how an access denied message would fit in with sessions). There is no particular issue with sessions on the server – if there were, you wouldn’t actually be able to hang on to a wordpress login session (like in the admin area), as a lack of a session identifier would result in a continual need to log in, looping as there would be no session data for the authentication routine. Did you check with the developer of the plugin itself, rather than at the wordpress forums?
to which I replied :
Thanks, well, yes, I checked with the developer, but they seem to be more interested in making sure that their plugin is not seen as the cause of the problem, rather than in helping their users. I guess i’ll have to find another solution.
It seems hard to believe that I’d be the first use4 to face that problem…

In reply to: [eShop] [Plugin: eShop] Checkout access deniedI deactivated the eShop translation plugin, thinking that maybe… but no luck. Still get the “Directory access denied”. Which directory?
