The issue you are referencing via a link was regards to the shipping rates coming out wrong, which turned out to be related to the tax add-on calculations. It was also dismissing some of the shipping rates. And you told me in that thread that the free shipping can’t apply to cart total, but to the product total. That is fine.

Originally that problem was that the tax and shipping rates for the USA shipping zone were not showing up at all.

Many of the issues that were brought up in that thread were shown to be issues that you solved in your plugin. And some were related to the regions and other things that where not allowed by Google.

You never confirmed or told me that you replicated the latest issue in that thread. You just stopped replying.

I’m not clear why you’re saying that you’ve spent many hours on this issue. First of all, this is not the same issue. Secondly, if you provide support and fix bugs for your plugin, is it a complaint towards me that you’ve spent hours on it after I pointed out technical problems that were happening? Do you think I am just taking up meaningless time here?

I believe the other thread brought up multiple errors, not just one. So it is not like we were spending hours going in circles on the same topic. It seemed like every time one thing was addressed, a new thing popped up.

You clearly found ‘real’ problems, released updates, and one of those updates was even referenced in your change log:

So, things were being fixed, and improved, as a result of my commentary, right? Is that not a good use of time and resource hours, in your opinion?

Now what I’m posting here is something different, and it was not addressed at all in the previous thread. It is also separate from what the other thread started out to be. But it was one of those ‘new problems’ that seemed to be coming up after you would update the plugin and ask me to try again. Then you just went silent.

Can you confirm then, that you and all your other users who use multi-country shipping, especially with Canada and the USA, are having their USA shipping options show up even when an item qualifies for free shipping in their home country or base region?

If so, can you please at least point me in the right direction as to where I may read about how to set up multi-country shipping correctly with your plugin, so that Google Merchant Centre reads it correctly? Do you have documentation on this?

I have shown you how I’ve set up the USA shipping rates in WooCommerce. To me, it seems like ‘the usual.’ And, they do show up in GMC, but only when a product does not qualify for free shipping in Canada. So I think the data is set up correct on the WooCommerce side. But for some reason, GMC is not ‘reading’ it right, and it’s not being ‘fed’ into all products right.

OR, I’m missing something entirely. I’d appreciate knowing what that is.

Hello, are you using the latest version of the plugin? Just making sure because they got rid of the need for min/max quantities to be a separate plugin and have added more settings that relate to variations. I don’t see those in your screenshots, but they do show on my screen. Though, this has been happening before.

Hello, I have updated the plugin, refreshed the feed, reprocessed in Google Merchant Centre and still getting errors. Can someone get back to us?

Sorry, it seems like the invalid region error is gone. When I reprocess the feed and it shows up new, it seems like Google doesn’t actually ‘see’ the new feed right away, or remove errors… I checked the next day and they seem gone.

However, we still have the problem of the USA shipping disappearing when an item meets a free shipping threshold for our local area.

E.g. Item is $285.

Free shipping in our province for over $200 qualifies it for free shipping.

However, shipping is not free everywhere else.

Can your plugin not exclude regions for unsupported countries to avoid all these errors? They are causing us to have ineligibility for the Google merchant center programs.

Just a follow up. I’ve tried this on a ‘raw,’ unaltered, brand new theme (a Genesis child theme called Essence Pro), with all plugins deactivated (except collapse-o-matic) and I get the same results (with or without an excerpt appearing on the blog page). The collapse-o-matic script just doesn’t load on that page. Is this expected behaviour?

Hi following up on this, can you let me know why your plugin ‘ignores’ rules on this page only, even without any customization at all on the blog page?

I’m also getting this error in chrome console: “The resource https://www.bclaserandskincare.com/wp-content/themes/modern-portfolio-pro/fonts/BClaser-iconfont/fonts/BClaser-iconfont.woff was preloaded using link preload but not used within a few seconds from the window’s load event. However, now I’m curious because I don’t see “You are currently editing the page that shows your latest posts.” on the page I’m trying to use Asset Cleanup on.

An example would be this script which is correctly ‘unloaded’ on every page that has that rule (including the one in question). https://cloudup.com/c5tKPQpmwje –> on the /blog page it does load in the HTML, even though it should not, based on the rule I’ve set (yes, it looks fine on the back end, in the editor area).

However, this happens with other rules as well.

Another example: /wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/packages/woocommerce-blocks/build/style.css

Collapse-o-matic works EVERYWHERE except that one page. They have their own way of not loading their resources unless the shortcode is used. The shortcode issue you described is something I’m actively investigating. You can see the thread here if you care 🙂

However, I’m now wondering if this is somehow not playing nice with the Block Editor / Gutenberg. She says her code is meant for Classic Editor but will work with Gutenberg. Would your plugin then also not load properly if something is meant to be classic editor or Gutenberg editor?

I tested by disabling Gutenburg everywhere using the following code:
add_filter('use_block_editor_for_post', '__return_false', 5);

I mean, I tried the following code which is apparently meant for the Block Editor, but it absolutely still shows a blank archive intro for us https://www.billerickson.net/code/genesis-blog-archive-intro-text/

So then I thought, let’s just not try to have any archive intro, let’s disable the home.php template and see if Asset Cleanup still loads what it should not load. I did that, and it presents the same problem. The examples above still load.

I’m really confused… I have tried so many tests of disabling and enabling things… it’s really perplexing. I hope it’s not that the answer is in front of me and I’m being blind.
