Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Stop WordPress from adding p tags and removing line breakI’ve been using TinyMCE-Advanced for a couple years, and it’s always avoided WordPress’ problems with editing HTML. In WP 2.9, however, the WordPress visual editor seems to be hosing everything. How can I blog about code when the blog eats the code??

In reply to: Version 3.0 FeaturesCould you once and for all really and truly stop the visual editor from changing HTML code that I enter into the HTML editor? Please?
This was almost working in 2.8.x, but 2.9 has completely hosed it.

In reply to: wp strips out line-breaks and <p> tags…In WP 2.9, this is breaking in the HTML tab, too.

In reply to: Can’t put in <br / >tag in wordpress post<pre><code>[…]</pre></code>seems broken in WP 2.9. I’ve never had this problem up through 2.8. I use TinyMCE-Advanced, but WP is screwing with my HTML whether it’s installed now or not.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Leading spaces?I’ve never had any problems using WordPress up to 2.8 and TinyMCE-Advanced up to 3.2.4. In WordPress 2.9, single line breaks, whether entered as a shift-enter in Visual or HTML mode or as
in HTML mode are stripped out. I thought at first it was TinyMCE-Advanced 3.2.7, but it breaks whether or not this is activated. Why does WordPress think it knows better than I how I want my HTML to look? It’s getting worse than Microsoft in this regard.
