Thanks for sharing the video.
In this case, I have carried out tests from my end based on your video and I do not seem to trace the issue with the date formatting display. It’s likely that you could be having something altering the formatting within your website. Could you perhaps try adding the Shortcode to a new page, using the default WordPress editor and not a page builder.

With respect to your query here, I have carried out tests on the date format issue raised here and I do not seem to replicate it from my end. Could you perhaps navigate to the Settings > General section and ensure that you set your date format to “F j, Y”.Let us know if this gets to help.

In regards to your query here, each calendar in Simple Calendar caches the events queried from Google for a period of time and updates them at periodic intervals. You can change the default maximum interval for each individual calendar, in the Advanced tab in the calendar settings panel.
