Hi Justin,
thanks for the tip – I tried it, but only succeeded with a few images, not them all.
however, I got from this the issue being the size of my images.
I resized all to 1200 pixels and yes!! it worked.
does for me for now!
JoeI’m having a similar problem – just installed and uploaded 15 images, only one created a thumbnail and when I try and edit them, it get this error message below.
I’m using the latest version of wordpress with a thesis theme.the image that created the thumbnail is 1972 x 1100 pixels, the others are larger (some 5000 pixels).
help?
Joe

In reply to: log in confusion wordpress.org and commenting on other blogsHi MichaleH,
thanks for quick reply! Understand the difference (a little!) having read the other posts.
i’m a bit puzzled tho, as no matter what log in I use, the site will not accept me.
I’m wondering if my wordpress log in is getting confused – my web designer has created a fantastic new wordpress theme for my bussiness website at http://www.lifetree.co.uk (not live yet), and he has used the same username (joelafferty) as I used for my own blog (hosted at joelafferty.com). Clearlly they have different passwords, but the same username. may that be confusing things?
ta,
Joe

In reply to: Upgrade caused loss of CategoriesHmmmmm,
no responses – i wonder if this thread is lost momentum…
anyhow, an update from me:
now i’ve managed to add categories, i’ve double cheked the sql database using PHPMyAdmin plug in for wordpress – and the new categories have nor appeared in the database…
…so, i’m left puzzled, where have the new categories gone i wonder?
…if i back up my database, will the new categories be remembered?
I’m wondering if I need to delete teh old wp_categories database…any clues (to a SQL complete novice) anyone?

In reply to: Upgrade caused loss of Categories…and may i join the list of this merry band…
I have tried evertying (i think!) but to no avail.
i think i may have not disabled plug-in’s when upgrading.
I upgraded to 2.2 and lost all my categories, and was unabel to add. upgraded to 2.3.1 and to no avail with teh same error messages as member above.
i have just upgraded to 2.5 (beta) and at least this is leting me add new categroies, so perhaps I need to go back and do them all again..
however, i’m a bit worried as all the orginal categroies are still in my SQL database, along with number of posts they are assocated with, just not visibile…
any ideas?
