In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin – AddThis] Share buttons i postsHi Micke.
You can turn off sharing buttons from above and below particular pages or posts using the Share Buttons by AddThis metabox when editing that post.

In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin – AddThis] Share buttons i postsHi Micke.
Thanks for letting us know about your issue.
After taking a look at your site, it looks like it’s behaving as expected with the settings you’ve selected. If you’d like to see sharing buttons on the excerpts on your homepage (the page you linked to is what WordPress considered your homepage), then you’ll need to enable the buttons both for excerpts and for your homepage.
You can do this at Share Buttons by AddThis >> Sharing Tools >> (pick your tool) >> Options >> Templates, and check the boxes labeled Excerpts and Homepage, then save.
Thanks,
JulkaHi there.
Thanks for letting us know about your issue. Do you have a URL you could share to a page where this isn’t behaving in the way you’d expect?

In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin – AddThis] Showing the wrong URL on FB sharesHi Graham.
Unfortunately, there’s no troubleshooting for us to do without the plugin enabled. If you ever feel like testing it again, please feel free to reach out to us.

In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin – AddThis] I can't get any links to show?Hi there.
I’m sorry for the delay in responding. I don’t see any evidence on your site that our plugin is still enabled. If you’d like to enable it again, I can take a look and see if there’s any obvious issues.
You may also want to try our AddThis Website Tools plugin instead, especially if you were already in AddThis mode. It gives us more ways of making sure that AddThis code is added onto your pages. Specifically, by playing with different combinations of the script location (header or footer), and the async checkbox, we can often get our tools working with most themes.

In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin – AddThis] Showing the wrong URL on FB sharesHello there!
Thanks for letting us know about your issue. Would you mind sharing a URL for a page where the share buttons are not behaving in the way you expect?
If you’d prefer to share this privately, please feel free to reach out to us at help@addthis.com.
Thanks,
JulkaHi Elaine,
Another common issue is caching plugins. They may have cached a copy of the page before you added the Share Buttons plugin, and that cache still hasn’t expired. There’s usually a way within the caching plugin to tell it to purse it’s cache. However, I’m not seeing any evidence on your site of a caching plugin.
A separate template seems the most likely and I see some evidence of that. Every URL I looked at on your site that has the sharing buttons also has comments and trackbacks at the bottom. All the URLs you linked to above don’t. It could be as simple as a different template for pages v. posts in WordPress, or your site being set up to automatically picking a different template because of the tags put on the article.

In reply to: [WordPress Website Tools Plugin – AddThis] Debug Mode throws many errorsHi zerocattle.
Thanks for the heads up. I’ll put fixes for these in the next release.
Thanks,
JulkaHi Elaine.
Thanks for letting us know about your issue.
It looks like the template picked out for those pages isn’t adding the needed JavaScript onto those pages. One work around for that is to add a Text widget onto a widget area in that template with the following content:
<script data-cfasync="false" type="text/javascript" src="//s7.addthis.com/js/300/addthis_widget.js#pubid=wp-fa2b2533506b0e4ac8c3919e2764d4d0" async="async"></script>The biggest drawback to this is that it won’t respect the options you’ve set on the Advanced Settings page of the plugin. Unfortunately, with this plugin we don’t have an alternate way of getting around this.
I see you’re in WordPress mode, where you configure your tools from within WordPress. We have another plugin (AddThis Website Tools) that allows for more troubleshooting with these kinds of issues, but it only supports AddThis mode (where you configure your tools with a free AddThis account at addthis.com). By toggling the header/footer and async options in that plugin, we can sometimes work around these limitations from themes. This functionality isn’t yet available in the Share Buttons by AddThis plugin.

In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin – AddThis] addthis widget heavy page loadHi Obertscloud.
Thanks for reaching out to us about your issue. We pay special attention to load speeds of our tools. We understand that’s important to you. It’s important to us, too.
Pingdom has a bug that makes our script appear to take up a lot longer in page load times than is actually does. Details about this are available here: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-takes-lot-of-time-to-load-on-home-page
Thanks,
JulkaHi CH3COOH.
Thanks for letting us know about your issue! I’ve been able to confirm it, and will start working on a release with a fix right away. In the meantime, you can stop this from happening by going to the Advanced Settings tab within the plugin, scrolling down to Additional Options, and putting the following JSON into the addthis.layers() textarea (the last one):
{"share": {"mobile": false}}Thanks,

In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin – AddThis] Share buttons don't showHi Gombroo.
You can specify the number of buttons in the Sharing Sidebar. To do this, go to the Sharing Tools tab within the plugin settings and looks for the Sharing Sidebar card. That card will have tabs as well. Go to the Options tab.
You’re able to select which buttons you’d like for the Sharing Sidebar as well. To do this, go to the Advanced Options tab within the plugin settings and look for “addthis.layers() initial paramater (json format)”:

In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin – AddThis] Share buttons don't showHi Gombroo.
I’ve looked at your home page and a page for a specific post, and all seem to be behaving properly. I see the AddThis sharing sidebar showing up on both, and that appears to be the only sharing tool you’ve enabled.
Could you be more specific about what you’re expecting to see that isn’t happening?
Thanks,
Julka
