In reply to: [Nonprofit Board Management] Adding to RSVP List responsesThanks for reaching out @zanimul and I agree that during the pandemic that feature would definitely be helpful. Unfortunately, modifying the plugin to allow an “Attending Electronically” option would be a fairly heavy lift from a programming standpoint. Given the uncertainty around the timing of the pandemic, it’s hard to commit resources to building that feature. If you or your organization has the technical capabilities it may be possible to make it happen, although you would need a fair amount of WordPress and plugin development experience.
I’m sorry I don’t have better news for you. Hopefully during the pandemic there’s still a more manual way to make it work, such as having users note they are going, but asking that they email if they plan to join online. I know that’s far from perfect, but hopefully it gets you where you need to go.
Good luck and take care.

In reply to: [Nonprofit Board Management] Is there a way to add meeting/event notes? These are all great questions @crestapps. I’ve tackled them one by one below:
After each event/meeting I like to document the meeting notes. Is there a place for me to log these notes?
For event and meeting notes I’d recommend using a tool like Google Docs or Microsoft Word online to record and store your notes. Then, once those are finalized, link directly to them within the Board Resources section of the plugin. Using Google Docs or Microsoft Word will provide a better note taking experience, and by only linking them it will keep the Board Resources section within your website clean.
Also, is there a way to attach file/meeting agenda along with meeting invite?
Just like my comment above, I’d recommend including the agenda within a Google Doc or Microsoft Word document, then linking to that file within the meeting’s description. That way your board members can click the link and go directly to the agenda. It’s also worth considering combining the agenda and meeting notes into one document. That would hopefully simplify the process for the person recording the meeting notes, as well as every board member.
Lastly, similar to the board members, is there a way to create executive staff using this plugin then display the members on the page front like the board members?
Unfortunately, it isn’t possible to use the plugin to display executive staff members. The plugin is built specifically for your board and like I noted in your previous forum post, the public-facing functionality is limited given that’s not the plugin’s primary focus.
I hope that’s helpful. Let us know if you have any other questions.
Thanks for reaching out @crestapps. Unfortunately, the plugin doesn’t offer a way for you to display each committee and the members on the front-end of your website. The plugin is meant mostly as an internal tool, which is why the ability to show information publicly is so limited. All that said, it is possible to build something to do what you’d like, but that would require comfort with coding.
I’m sorry I don’t have better news for you on this one. Take care.

In reply to: [Wired Impact Volunteer Management] Share Volunteer ListThanks for reaching out @eroesch. I’m happy to help. While there isn’t built-in functionality to send a list of volunteers to another person or to export it, a simple copy and paste may do it. Here are the steps:
- Visit the admin screen where you would normally edit the volunteer opportunity.
- Scroll to the bottom and find the “Volunteer Opportunity RSVPs” metabox. There you’ll see a list of every person who has signed up to volunteer.
- Use your mouse to highlight every row including all the volunteer information.
- Right click on your mouse and choose to copy the content.
- Open up a spreadsheet in your favorite tool, such as Excel or Google Sheets.
- Right click in the cell where you want the data to appear and choose to paste it. The data should show up in a way that allows you to modify and format it.
Let us know how that works for you. And of course, if you have any other questions don’t hesitate to reach out.
I’m sorry you’re dealing with that @tiemco. I’m sure that’s frustrating. In testing our plugin this morning with Crelly Slider, I see exactly what you’re referring to. It looks like that plugin is overriding our date picker so the one they use pops up instead. In looking at their support requests, it seems like someone already brought up the same issue at https://wordpress.org/support/topic/slider-conflict-with-acf-time-picker/. In that case their date picker is overriding a different plugin.
In looking over all their support requests at https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/crelly-slider/ it seems like there are a fair number of conflicts with plugins and themes.
I’d recommend commenting on the request they already have at https://wordpress.org/support/topic/slider-conflict-with-acf-time-picker/. Hopefully the developers will take a look and get it sorted out.
Thanks Mark. I appreciate you all spending some more time on it. Have a nice weekend.
Thanks Mark. I tested this and the errors no longer appear, which is great.
I did notice that the new hook,
wp_initialize_site, passes two arguments. Should the code be modified to be:add_action('wp_initialize_site', array($this, 'maybe_activate_ssl_in_new_blog'), 20, 2);And then I would assume that
maybe_activate_ssl_in_new_blog()would need to be modified as well. Do you think that makes sense? Thanks again for all the help Mark.
That sounds good. Thanks a ton for taking a look Mark.
Thanks for the quick reply Mark. Unfortunately, using the priority to run the code later didn’t work for me. I changed the priority to 90 and then to 9999. In both cases, the errors still appeared. To run the tests I used a fresh multisite install with only the Really Simple SSL plugin installed.
Thanks a ton @smotsie. Every review we get helps folks in the community find the plugin. We’re also really happy you got the support you needed. Take care.

In reply to: [Nonprofit Board Management] Integration with BuddyPressThanks a ton for the suggestion Ole. We haven’t considered BuddyPress integration at this point, but if enough people request it, we’ll absolutely consider it. We really appreciate when folks from the community give us helpful feature ideas.
Take care!
