Thanks for the feedback @cajebo! A couple of important notes. We are working on a single plugin subscription option. It is a big shift in our pricing structure so it will take us some time to get it worked out…but we hear you. This will still require a subscription because we have shifted to mostly services over the past few years. Services mean our plugins no longer require only the cost of development. We have recurring server and hosting costs in order to maintain speed and power. If you have more questions about the pro service please contact a member of our support team and we can try and work something out for you.

Thank you for using Smush. If the image is 1MB it may be too large to large for Smush free to optimize. Smush will optimize images up to 1MB. Larger images require Smush Pro. You can look at the image in the library to see if Smush reduced the image size. I hope that helps!
