  • I didn’t have a ton of problem doing a manual update – if you use this page with additional detail, it should help with things not being overwritten.

If you don’t use an FTP client already, I’d highly recommend that over the sorry attempt at a file manager Yahoo! provides.

That said, I’m having massive issues with commenting, and have been for a while – my last blog they got totally corrupted, and getting an answer from Yahoo! support is about as likely as me turning into a man.

    I’m hoping someone can help.

My sister and I shared a blog (at http://www.yarnfamily.com/blog1), and somehow, the comments became utterly corrupt and started showing the errors that are on the page – I tried repair on the db and getting down current back ups and it just seemed totally off.

So instead, I started a new blog at http://www.yarnfamily.com/blog2. I got up and running, and the theme I currently have up seems to be working alright – at least I can LEAVE a comment; however, when I am in admin and go to the comments section, it shows there are none even though there are all the test comments I have up. If I put up other themes, when I try to leave a test comment, it redirects to wp-comments-post.php, but is just a blank page and comments can’t be left at all. If I go to Dashboard, it says there are 6 comments, but when I click the link to go there, again, it seems to think there are none.

I’ve just upgraded to WP2.6 in the hopes it would resolve, but I’m not having much luck.

Any tips or info someone might have would be greatly appreciated – I’m about to pull my hair out.
