Fair enough. Thanks for your time.
Yes it is, which is the way it comes configured by default in Standard Preview 3.
Actually I did both. And yes, it works when you do that. But I shouldn’t need to, correct? If the header.php is properly configured why would I need to force rewrite?

I haven’t figured it out yet. It was doing it all morning; now I can’t get it to freeze anymore. Could have just been a fluke. I’ll let you know if I discover anything more.
Ah, answered my own question.
You need to add ‘wp-signup.php’ to the list of files excluded by the redirect. This is a file used exclusively by multi-site WP installations. Users are unable to register without it.

In reply to: Subdomain redirects in WordPress multisiteThe only change I made in my cPanel to setup multisite was adding a wildcard redirect. I setup multisite “by the book,” so to speak. I used the directions given me in WordPress when I enabled multisite in my wp-config file.

I found the fix. I just upped the amount of memory being allocated to PHP scripts.

In reply to: WordPress.com Stats causing dashboard problems (2.8)?I’m having this issue too. I’ve always been a little wary of messing with the .htaccess file. I was hoping for a plugin upgrade/tweak that would fix everything. =(
I may just disable it for the time being.
