Plugin will by default import comments replies, If you can’t see replies, the problem is maybe in the template.

On plugin configuration page you can see “Disable images in imported comments” option. Just set it to “Yes” and images should not appears.

Unfortunately, currently is only possible to create stream from closed groups (only in case if you are the owner) with the PRO version. But, I can’t even guarantee how long this will work, because facebook all the time make some changes related with privacy, so they can disable that anytime.
Right now, you can create stream from private group where you are the admin with PRO version, because PRO version uses user access token instead of app token.

For now is only possible to import comments from the user profile wall with the PRO version. To import comments from user wall it is necessary to have user access token, and basic version can generate only app token.
Import from public groups is possible even with the free version. You just have to enter group ID instead of page ID.
Related with twitter comments importer. Unfortunately, this is on hold for now, twitter made some changes in API, and there was a lot of problems with import, so we didn’t release plugin yet. Plugin will be probably published in future, but for now, our priority is to keep Fb comments importer up to date.

Unfortunately, currently is not possible to exclude tagged names, because they are part of the text message and there is no way to separate what is actually message and what names.
But, we are currently working on functionality that will connect (make a link) tagged names with user facebook profile.

Some users already had the same issue, and the problem was the conflict with some other plugins that affects on user avatars.
For example, if you have installed WP User Avatar, it can cause the problem. But, if you change avatar option (in WP User Avatar settings) to “blank” it will fix the problem.

Can you please send me group URL. From public groups you should be able to create stream without any problem, but in case if group is private it is not possible.
Facebook has some privacy restrictions and reading group wall (in case if you are not owner) is not possible using graph API.

I believe I found the problem, but still have to make few tests. Facebook seems to make some changes, and plugin doesn’t work anymore with old version of facebook apps.
So, how to fix it
1. visit https://developers.facebook.com/apps/ and create new app, API version should be v2.4
2. Enter new app ID and secret code to your configuration page.
3. Change at least one shortcode parameter to cleanup the cache and pull new data from facebook API. For example you can change padding=”10″ to padding=”11″
