In reply to: [Quick Cache (Speed Without Compromise)] Works like a charm on my WP 4.0 siteHey guys,
I’m back and for about 2 months now, I am a paying customer, meaning I purchased the Pro version of your superb plugin 🙂
So, may I (as a paying customer 😉 ) suggest the feature of a “Cache it now” button? Really just your auto-cache-engine feature, packed into a only-once-when-button-is-clicked-a-cache-of-all-pages-will-be-generated form.
Could that be done?

In reply to: [Admin Menu Editor] Doesn't work with WP 4.1 (in my case at least)Thank you very much for all your help & suggestions.
I think we can rightfully assume that my problems arise from the PHP memory limit which I could only raise by spending more money on a better wehbosting package (which – at least at the current moment – I am not willing to do).
So I will mark this thread as solved (I have already corrected my Compatibility-vote for your plugin to “it works”) and will definetly use your plugin on one of my next webprojects. But right now, it is not absolutely necessary so for my current webproject, I will disable it to save memory.
Keep up the good work on this definitly very useful plugin!

In reply to: [Admin Menu Editor] Doesn't work with WP 4.1 (in my case at least)Just checked the memory usage with Memory Viewer WordPress plugin when viewing the options page of your plugin while having one menu-entry hidden via hide/show. See http://i60.tinypic.com/14mb2og.png for results.
Do you think this would explain my situation? (I have a 64 MB PHP memory limit…)

In reply to: [Admin Menu Editor] Doesn't work with WP 4.1 (in my case at least)Hi there,
thanks for getting back so fast!
- I genereally only use the Hide/Show Feature for hiding
- By “it simply wouldn’t load otherwise”, I mean in the case of /wp-admin/plugins.php, there is just a 100% white page
- Interestingly, in the case of your plugins options page, all I can see is the WP bars left and above and the following text at the top of your plugins options page (nothing else)
- Just contacted my webspace provider, they don’t keep a PHP error log, just the PHP option display_errors is available, which I turned on, but I didn’t get any error messages displayed

In reply to: [Add Meta Tags] Bug "Custom title issue" not fixed in 2.5.0Hi George,
having updated to 2.5.1 of your plugin and also having edited the functions.php of my (child) theme like you described in post #5 above, everything works fine for my twenty eleven theme, still on WP 4.0.1.
Will update to WP 4.1 in the next few days / the next week, assuming that everything will still be ok then 🙂
Thanks a lot 🙂

Thanks for letting me know, Raam.
No more questions for now. 😉
BTW: I have just posted my 5-star-rating & review of Quick Cache!
Again, keep up the good work!

In reply to: [Quick Cache (Speed Without Compromise)] I can not uninstallEMERGENCY: If all else fails, how can I remove Quick Cache?
Ordinarily you can just deactivate Quick Cache from the plugins menu in WordPress. However, if you’re having a more serious issue, please follow the instructions here.
Log into your site via FTP; perhaps using FileZilla.
Delete this file: /wp-content/advanced-cache.php
Delete this directory: /wp-content/plugins/quick-cache/
Remove this line from your /wp-config.php file: define(‘WP_CACHE’, TRUE);Quick Cache is now completely uninstalled and you can start fresh 🙂
Hi Raam,
thanks for getting back and shame on me for not having had a look at the pro-features before to check if this feature would be available there.
Still, I don’t think the “Auto-Cache-Engine” is exactly what I was looking for. I was looking for a button who would delete all cached version of files, then create new cached version of all files and then do absolutely nothing until the next time I click it – no automatic expiration / creation.
Many people probably wouldn’t care about this old-school non-automatic feature, but I’m just that that of guy 😉
Please allow me to ask another question to better understand how “Quick Cache” works:
If I have the plugin enabled with static html files already created (“cached”) (because these certain pages have already been visited), then disable the plugin (not in the wordpress plugin overview but with the internal plugin enable / disable option), then enable it back again right away without changing anything else, will all cached files (which were available before) be deleted?

In reply to: [Twenty Eleven] german language packHi Becky,
thanks for the hint! I just “hacked” the revision date of the formal file to be the same as the one of the informal one and it seems to have worked.
Thanks again!

In reply to: [Twenty Eleven] german language packHi Becky,
thanks for getting back so quickly and for pointing out the revision date issues.
So really just one question remains: Where do I get a the a more recent / the most recent (?!) revision of the translation if not on the link you provided (http://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp/dev/twentyeleven/de/default)?

In reply to: [Twenty Eleven] german language packHi Becky!
I was looking for the same so thanks for the link. I downloaded both the latest .po and mo. files for German (formal), renamed them to twentyeleven-de_DE.mo and twentyeleven-de_DE.po and uploaded them into my wp-content/languages/themes directory (overriding the older files).
It seems to work but now I get a message in the backend, telling me that some of my language files need to be updated. When I update, it is “updated” back to German (informal).
Although it seems that the formal German is ok even if an update is suggested, I am a bit insecure about this issue….
Any comment / suggestion ? 😉
Hi Stefan,
thanks for the updated version, which has solved the problem. It works perfectly now.
Thanks so much 🙂

Hi Stefan,
maybe if I can look for modules to be en-/disabled in the phpinfo on my server? Could that help? If so, just tell me what to look for.
Hi Stefan,
thanks for your fast reply.
Standard country and language chosen is Germany / German, but it won’t even work when I select United States / English.Thank you very much in advance for fixing this issue with your very promising plugin!
All the best
Thomas
