    Hi s_ha_dum,

My site is http://justice-liberty.com. I had a web developer customize the theme and install it just a couple of days ago. I know little about PHP and never used phpMyAdmin. Can you help?

    Thank a lot.

    Thanks, Esmi.

I created this username, islamwest, when I started my old site: http://islam-and-west.com. I am now operating a new blog site, http://justice-liberty.com, and I will soon discontinue the old one.

Can I create a new Forums account for my new site using a new username that agrees with the new site?

Thanks, esmi. I already have created a display name of my choice. I’m trying to have a different username.

    Esmi,
I got busy with other things. I’m sorry but if you could send me the steps through which I can reinstall the wp-config.php file on my site http://justice-liberty.com/wordpress? Or do I need to reinstall the whole WordPress?
    Thanks a lot.

    Esmi,

I deleted the “?>” code that I had put in at the end of the “wp-config.php” file, having opened it with Notepad; and saved it. When I reopened the “wp-config.php” file, I saw it all garbled up as a full horizontal page, instead of the vertical list of codes. Can you tell what has happened, and how I can restore the old vertical sheet of codes?

Also, how do I get to “home/content/j/u/s/justliberty/html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/wp-ad-gallery/wp-ad-gallery.php,” and what do I do with line “177”?

Again, many thanks for your help.

    Esmi,

    Thanks for your tips.

I went into “wp-config.php” via FTP File Manager using Notepad, and saw that there was no ?> at the end of the text file. I put in ?> there, and checked that there was no space between < and ? in the <?php code at the beginning.

I saved the file. But lo and behold, as I opened my blog site, there still was the warning:

“Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/content/j/u/s/justliberty/html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/wp-ad-gallery/wp-ad-gallery.php:177) in /home/content/j/u/s/justliberty/html/wordpress/wp-includes/functions.php on line 862”

    What could have gone wrong?

    Thanks a lot.

    Thanks, Esmi.

I didn’t know that I had to add “wordpress” between “com” and “wp-admin.” I don’t need to do that to log in to my other site.

In any case, it works now.

No, I didn’t click the “Add” button while downloading those plugins. I’m going to do that now.

    Thanks again for your help.

Oops! I forgot to mention the name of my newly installed site: http://justice-liberty.com/wordpress/

    Alon,
That’s I think what I should do: make the new domain secondary to my existing domain: ISLAM-AND-WEST.COM, and upgrade it to Deluxe. Or Ultimate? Your link took me to the Go Daddy site, but, as I said, I’m having problems connecting to the site, in this case some of its links. I clicked the “Add Domains” link but couldn’t open it. So I’m going to e-mail a request to your Support personnel, asking them to help me make the changes. I think they do the installation for Deluxe accounts, don’t they?
    Many thanks.

Thanks, Alon, for the alert. Obviously, I’ve inadvertently exposed my card to mischief. Please let me know if you’re using it to pay for one-year hosting service. After I hear from you, I will ask American Express to cancel the card and send me a replacement to my U.S. address.

    Thanks again,
    Mustafa

    Alon,

I was waiting for your response to my last message. Now I’m surprised to note my message isn’t there on the thread! For some reason it didn’t get through. Could be I sent my message in reply to the e-mail notifying me of your message, not using the link that has your message.

Anyway, here again what I was trying to say:

I greatly appreciate your offer to help me install my new domain, LIBERTY-AND-JUSTICE.COM, on WordPress. And I would like to have Go Daddy hosting service. The problem is that I’m traveling in the Indian subcontinent, now in Bangladesh, and for some reason your system or mine doesn’t process my payment through my credit cards or PayPal. (And now, for two days, I can’t pull up the Go Daddy site. I hope the glitch will end.)

As your records would show, after several unsuccessful attempts to pay for the registration of my LIBERTY-AND-JUSTICE.COM domain from here, I got one of your colleagues to use my American Express card in my Go Daddy account to pay for the registration.

So my first request to you see if you or someone else can pay for your hosting service by using the same card. Here are the particulars of the card in my account that should be used:

Type of the card: American Express.
    Name on it: Mustafa Malik.
Last four digits of the card number: 4000.
    Verification code: 6531.
    Expiration date: 03/2016.
I would like to pay for one year’s service, to begin with.

If you can help me pay for the hosting service, I will get on with the WordPress installation, following your instruction, as soon as I can log in to Go Daddy.

Thanks again for being so helpful.

Thanks, Esmi. I’m reading the material and hope to be able to install it myself.

By the way, what would be the main pros and cons of transferring my sites from GoDaddy.com to WordPress.org? I see that the support system here is much better.

    OTG,

OOPS! I now discover that I can’t access my WP site again! I had changed the old password, and the new password worked for a while. Now it doesn’t. I’m trying access the site through my ISP’s phpmyadmin.

Here’s where I am. I clicked Database and came upon a screen with the following tabs:

Structure, SQL, Search, Query, Export, Import and Operations.

Which of these options may enable me to access the WP site and change the password?

    Thanks.
