In reply to: [iQ Block Country] Locked me out of backend after modem resetHi,
You probably did not deactivate it via WordPress. In that case the configuration that is in the WordPress database was not removed and will be used again once you reinstall the plugin.
Probably the only way to resolve this is by changing the parameters in your database via for instance phpmyadmin.
No, it wil only prevent people accessing your website.

In reply to: [iQ Block Country] Unable to login to wordpress backendYour /wp-admin/ seems to be redirect to /wp-admin/ creating an loop. I’ve seen this once before when using a specific Apache version. Might also be something in a .htaccess file.
If you send details to support/\webence.nl I can take a look for you. It however does not seem to be related to my plugin.

In reply to: [iQ Block Country] Block all countries except mine?Yes, just select all countries except your own. This is often used for keeping your site private while still in development.
If you have a static ip you could even block your own country and whitelist your own ip address(es)

In reply to: [iQ Block Country] Does this work on Multisite?Hi,
Yes it should work. You have to do the settings for each site you have. But if you want all settings the same you can configure 1 site and export the settings and import the settings on the other sites.
Hi,
Do you use a caching plugin or other caching solution?

Hi,

What does the logging tab say. On the backend tab the plugin tells you which IP address you are using and to which country it belongs to. Perhaps your ip addeess is listed in the MaxMind database to the wrong country?
What happens if you whitelist your ip address

In reply to: [iQ Block Country] Still not blockingiQ Block Country does not check for urls like “../../../wp-config.php or wp-config.php at all. If you’ve done a normal installation anybody who tries to get wp-config.php will receive a blank page.
This plugin is designed to keep people away from either your backend, (part of) your frontend, or both. It’s not a real security plugin as WordFence is for instance. It will not check for file permissions or whatever security plugins can and should do. It is designed to keep your content from certain countries, or disallow them to retrieve the page so they can leave spam comments etc.
