In reply to: [Visitor Analytics and Lead Generation Plugin by Inbound Rocket] MailchimpHey Darren,
it took a bit longer than expected, for which were very sorry (we did a really big overhaul on the code next to adding the MailChimp direct sync in the application). But the release is finally there!
Now that that one is out of the way, let’s have a look at adding the possibility for a direct FB app add option.
Cheers!
HansHey Keiko,
we’re very sorry that it took a bit longer than expected for the latest update to get out there. However, we thrilled to tell you, we just pushed the code towards WordPress!
This means the error you had earlier regarding MixPanel is now completely resolved and should not pose a problem anymore. Let us know if you need any help when installing the updated plugin!
Have an amazing day!
Hiya Keiko,
this is indeed a problem at the moment which becomes active when you’ve got other plugins which make use of MixPanel. We’re pretty close to releasing an update of our plugin which makes the install base much leaner and cleaner, meaning no more MixPanel code as well in the plugin.
With this update the above problem can never appear anymore. So hang on tight, almost there!
Sorry for any inconvenience caused by this at the moment.
Cheers!
Hey SJDSocial,
what exactly do you mean with include post-name? If someone select a lot of text or even just a little there is little to no space within the 140 characters to share it on Twitter. The source is the URL which is always included with the text being shared, or is this not working for you?
Thanks a lot for your feedback!

In reply to: [Visitor Analytics and Lead Generation Plugin by Inbound Rocket] broken linkCheck thanks a lot! Found it and smashed the little bug! We will release it with our upcoming release!
Hiya,
thanks a lot for the feedback you gave us, could you maybe elaborate a bit more in the broken links and the double inserts of Twitter usernames? We have not encountered this before and then we can look into fixing these. The Google shortener doesn’t create correct shortlinks for you as well? We’ve seen the support feedback you gave us, but these seem a bit different / new then what you told us there?
Time to put on our debug hats a bit longer π We’re actually working on a new release which should hopefully be out soon, which makes the code a bit cleaner and includes already direct integration with MailChimp to start with (with other mailing software on the roadmap as well).
One final question, what kind of customization are you looking into exactly? And how do you think we can improve certain areas maybe better?
Sorry to bombard you with lots of questions, we don’t want to sound too overwhelming. Feedback like yours is what makes us go further and better for everyone.
Thanks again and have a lovely day!
We put this on our todo list!

In reply to: [Visitor Analytics and Lead Generation Plugin by Inbound Rocket] Config issueThis particular problem seems to be fixed now, thanks a lot for all the amazing emails thus far! We will close this issue since we’re having the rest of the conversation via email.
Have an amazing day!
Hiya William,
at the moment there is no way to disable this functionality within the power-up. You could choose not to use that particular power-up for the moment while we look into adding it to the settings options.
For the moment, it is added to our “to build” feature list.
Cheers!
Hiya William,
this code is being inserted as part of the selection-sharer power-up in the plugin. As soon as someone selects a piece of text and shares it, we put a small wrapper around it to highlight it. This way other people reading the text will notice that a text snippet has been shared which encourages them to click on that highlighted text and make them want to share the text as well.
In your case is the span class around the text messing up with your theme?
Cheers!

In reply to: [Visitor Analytics and Lead Generation Plugin by Inbound Rocket] Config issueThanks Darren,
for the email follow-up on this one as well providing more data. We’re investigating this right now π
P.S. with all configuration pages you just mean the configuration on our plugin or on other plugins as well?
The suggested plugin should solve your problem for right now, blocking access till you’ve accepted it or otherwise will redirect you away from your site. Since this is indeed as you say an issue for everything (even Google Analytics), I think the best way is to install that one to cover all your needs.
Integrating this into Inbound Rocket, might make sense but indeed like you say there are other plugins out there who might place cookies as well. So a separate solution for this would be the best fitting for your need.
We will put it on the backlog as well for future development, but I think right now things like MailChimp are of bigger need π

In reply to: [Visitor Analytics and Lead Generation Plugin by Inbound Rocket] Mailchimp@darren, totally understandable with the MailChimp integration. They indeed have an API and we are actively looking into the integration right now, so hold tight π
Sorry, I don’t really follow you on the Facebook stuff. You don’t have access to the Yoast SEO plugin settings?
Cheers!
Hiya Darren,
this plugin indeed uses cookies like a lot of other instances (like Google Analytics etc.). If you want to comply strictly with the EU cookie Law you should have already a warning in place (like for example this plugin does for you: https://wordpress.org/plugins/cookie-warning/).
Do you think it might be a good addition to have this functionality in the plugin itself as well?
Cheers!

In reply to: [Visitor Analytics and Lead Generation Plugin by Inbound Rocket] MailchimpHiya Darren,
a direct link to MailChimp is not operational at this stage yet (we’re working on that one). For the moment, you can use the export function on the contacts to expert a .csv file and import that into MailChimp. Sorry for the inconvenience about that, this proves to us that the MailChimp should go up a bit higher on our priority list!
Concerning the Facebook sharing using the selection sharer, this uses the Facebook share functionality. Facebook share functionality requires a Facebook App ID, be sure to include fb:app_id meta tag information in your template otherwise the Facebook share button will not show. If you’re using Yoast SEO for example, there is the option under social to add this data. It might probably be better in the future as well to add it straight from our plugin..
Thanks a lot for the feedback!
