Imagify Image Optimizer

Imagify will handle the fallback control automatically, that is one of the reasons we keep original format images on the server.
Tools like Pingdom should not count duplicated requests in this case as the server will not load both images, although there are both in the source. Simply, the code is written that way to call one type of image, depending on the browser that is requesting the page.

MarkoHi @3xploiton3
I tested this image on my end and I got the same message. It looks like the image has a lot of details that would be affected with Smart compression. If you try to reoptimize this image with Lossless compression level, it should be reduced for around 35% without losing the quality. That’s how it worked on my end.
I guess it is the same problem for other images so you might definitely try Lossless optimization and see how it goes.

MarkoUnfortunately, it is not possible to stop the process from Imagify Settings page. You can stop it by deleting all transients and this guide can help you with the process.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need any further assistance, I am happy to help.

The Imagify teamHey @ilithio,
If you’re good with coding, you can try this helper plugin as it would allow you to skip delivering WebP to images with specific class (you have to define it in the code) – https://github.com/wp-media/imagify-helpers/tree/master/webp/imagify-skip-picture-tag-replacement.
Hope this helps.
Best Regards,Hi,
Thank you for your message. The issue is likely due to the WebP display option using picture tags. Please try the following:
- Deactivate the WebP display option in Settings > Imagify.
- Clear all caches.
If this resolves the issue, consider using the rewrite rules method for WebP images in Settings > Imagify unless you’re using a CDN like Cloudflare.
Let me know how it goes.

Saransh,Hey,
Thank you for your message. In Imagify WordPress Plugin there is no option to hide or encrypt the API key, but you can follow below tip:
By adding this line in wp-config.php, Imagify will not ask for the API key:
define ('IMAGIFY_API_KEY', 'YOUR_API_KEY');
Hope this helps!
