Hi @jassss,
You can disable the
"Automatically resize images after upload"and the"Backup the original images?"settings from"NextGen Gallery -> Other Options -> Image Options"then re-upload your images to allow the visitors download full-size originals from SimpleLightbox or Fancybox.Hi @gestionerisorse,
We are not allowed to go with Pro support here.
Please contact our support team directly at https://www.imagely.com/support/ should you have any premium related questions.
Thanks
Hi @jstewart68,
Absolutely. You can add a
"NextGen Widget"to your page’s sidebar and select"Recently Added"for the source then indicate how many images you’d like the widget to display.- This reply was modified 4 years, 1 month ago by Imagely.
Hi @doublesixx,
We are sorry to say that there’s no such a possibility to have NextGen’s images hosted outside the server at this point in time.
Hi @brian_isaacs,
Unfortunately, there’s no such a setting that’d allow displaying more galleries at once within Manage Galleries but you can manually edit
nextgen-gallery\products\photocrati_nextgen\modules\ngglegacy\admin\manage-galleries.phpline 15 and replace 25 with the number of galleries you’d like to display:$items_per_page = apply_filters('ngg_manage_galleries_items_per_page', 25);Hi @falarapt,
You can reach to our support team directly with an example of a gallery page at https://www.imagely.com/contact/ and we’ll have a look at it.
Thanks

Hi @candelai,
Could you please let us know if you have done any after and before tests that’d confirm the site is loading slower after updating to WP 6.0 and I am wondering if you’ve specifically noticed it happening on the gallery pages or it’d rather apply to all of your site’s pages.
We have no such community reports ref NextGen Gallery related slow-downs after updating to WordPress 6.0 so far.
Hi @mishmishmish,
Pro Filmstrip is a premium gallery display type and due to the forum’s rules, we are not allowed to provide any premium support here.
Please reach directly to our support team here: https://www.imagely.com/contact/ and we’ll be happy to take it from there.
Thanks!
Hi @pkeenan,
Thanks for asking us. Unfortunately, we don’t have a Shopify version of NextGen Gallery.
Hi @mariopatov,
You’d need to have both
"Automatically resize images after upload"and"Backup the original images?"disabled to prevent NextGen Gallery from creating its own full-size images.Could you please make sure these are both deactivated then try uploading new images to see if NGG displays the original files as a result?

In reply to: [Photo Gallery, Sliders, Proofing and Themes - NextGEN Gallery] Rename PicHi @mawiti,
Unfortunately, no changes were done regarding implementing the images filenames renaming within NextGen Gallery.
Imagely has been in the market for 10+ years, it has always been a small team, so we need to weight the cost/benefit of things we implement, there are 500+ feature requests on our board at the moment, ranging from the most useful and logic things to the most unexpected features you can imagine… when we start a development cycle we try to choose the most impactful features that will benefit the largest base possible and start working on them or fully implement them depending on their complexity, for example WebP support, also we need to apply emergency fixes for medium and large issues that appear on top of the regular plugin maintenance and updating for compliance with WordPress, PHP, MySQL, etc. This unfortunately does not leave as much room as we want to keep improving the plugins.
Thanks for your understanding
Hey @sfrueh,
I’m sorry to hear that you can’t reach back to us using the existing ticket. Could you please try opening a new ticket via https://www.imagely.com/contact/ page?
Feel free to let us know here if still having troubles reaching us.
Thanks
I see. We were able to replicate it with Classic Editor and Fancybox. Switching to SimpleLightbox allowed it work properly though. Worth mentioning that we aren’t actively testing anymore our plugins with Classic Editor. Fancybox is also only partially supported for the backwards compatibility reasons.
If using Block Editor you can try adding the PDF link via
"Custom HTML"module instead as it appears to be working for us even while using Fancybox:<a href="https://whitefieldlibrary.org/wp-content/uploads/SummerReadingChallenge.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><img src="https://whitefieldlibrary.org/wp-content/uploads/summerBINGO-232x300.png" /></a>Thanks for the HTML example of the PDF link. We’ve copied it to one of our test sites and pasted it into a page using a
"Custom HTML"Gutenberg module and it seems to always open the PDF link ( without trying to open it in the lightbox ) while usingFancyboxand having"Only apply to NextGEN and WordPress images"set.Could you please let us know what editor are you using and how are you inserting the link? I’m wondering if it’d behave differently in case of using a third party page editor or a different module.
Also, could you please confirm that you are using the latest version of NextGen Gallery?
You’d basically want to backup everything just to avoid missing anything that’s important. A full backup of your gallery directory from wp-content/gallery + database would be recommended.
