Hi @and1rzej,
Could you please try deleting then installing NextGen Gallery plugin new to see if that’ll fix the issue with the “Other Options” gone while trying to save the changes?

Hi @lukedouglas,
If you already load Fontawesome via a different plugin, you can try going to NextGEN Gallery > Other Options > Miscellaneous and set “Do not enqueue FontAwesome ” to “Yes”
Hi @francoc30,
We don’t have any other similar reports and as long as we are aware we didn’t made any changes that’d affect the shortcode structure.
Worth mentioning that NextGen doesn’t retroactively modify the already inserted shortcodes so this sounds more like a database related problem. I’d probably look to restore the site+database to an earlier stage when everything worked fine, deactivate the other plugins and only then update NextGen to see if the issue will persist.
Hi @aaa1898,

Hi @initiumit,
This looks like a file integrity issue so let’s try deleting NextGen Gallery plugin then installing it new to see if that’ll resolve the problem.
Hi @aaa1898,
Seems that the error with Type Error Thrown, explode() and the warning are 2 different things and the first one may or may not have to do with NGG.
In the similar cases we always suggest starting with a conflict check by temporarily deactivating the other plugins leaving NextGen Gallery as the only active plugin to see if the issue persists.

It should allow you pick the thumbnails’ size when you edit the widget’s settings from “Appearance -> Widgets”. If you add the widget via a third party builder, it may not allow you change the settings and we recommend using a regular “NextGen Gallery” block or shortcode instead of the widget to be able to control the thumbnails’ size better.
Hi @sfoerg,
It appears that your widget is set to display thumbnails that are very small (30×30) pixels and the browser or the theme defaults <img> elements to a minimum of 150 pixels width.
You should be able to resize the thumbnails from the widget’s settings and force it display the implicit size adding the following CSS rule to “Appearance -> Customize -> Additional CSS”
.ngg-widget img {
width: auto !important;
}Hi @taskmania,
Thanks for the details. We’ve created an report for our dev team to inspect a possible problem with the breadcrumbs while using the basic album display types.
Hi @markm75,
This is definitely odd as we test our plugin to work with any PHP version from 7.x-8.x range.
Could you please also check for a conflict by temporarily deactivating the other plugins leaving NextGen Gallery as the only active plugin to see if the issue persists? If that doesn’t change much, you are welcome to submit an issue report at https://www.imagely.com/report-bug/ indicating this thread’s URL.
Hi @markm75,
Let’s perform an experiment by creating a new gallery and adding a single image that doesn’t contain any captions to it then try to modify it ( for example sort the gallery or add a simple caption to it that doesn’t contain any quotation marks ) then try to save the changes to see if that’ll work.
Please let us know of your results.
Hi @wordpressme2,
Most likely NextGen’s loads its own FA version that conflicts with the theme.
Let’s try deactivating NextGen’s Fontawesome from “NextGen Gallery -> Other Options -> Miscellaneous” by selecting “Yes” for “Do not enqueue FontAwesome” and “Save Options” then check again to see if that’ll resolve the problem.
None of NextGen’s free gallery display types come with a counter. Please reach out our support team directly should you be interested of the features that are included in the premium version of NextGen: https://www.imagely.com/contact/
