I know we’re no supposed to ‘bump’ our thread, but it’s been a week and before I build further on my blog, I really would like to find out if there’s a way to do what I’m asking.

I realize that marking negative comments ‘unapproved’ will put them in a ‘pending’ stage, but then they fall in the list of any comments pending. I really would like to be able to mark them ‘private’ or ‘hidden’ and keep them listed separate from the other comments (just the ones I may need to keep for future reference)
Is there a way to do this or is there a plug-in to do this with?

    I apologize for this ‘bump’
If this is the wrong forum to ask my question in, please tell me which one would be better for it and I’ll go post it there.
Thanks ahead,t for any help you can direct me too.

Thank you so very very much!
    It works fabulously!
I appreciate your helping me with this.
    Thanks again! 🙂

I’m new at this, so you may want to wait until someone else replies.

Have you made a blogs.dir folder in your wp-content/ folder?
The blogs.dir are where the new blogs live and the path the admin would use to call them up.

I don’t know the technical words to explain it right, but hopefully you’ll know what I mean.

    I figured it out

According to this codex page, in order to have multiple blogs you need to activate a ‘Network’

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Create_A_Network

In order to active the ‘Network’ you have to edit a piece of code in the wp-config.php file.
I have tried this and I cannot get it to work and my blog is totally down. It keeps giving me an error page and I cannot get into my control panel.

I would greatly appreciate if someone would post a copy of the edited wp-config.php fragment with more than just the edit line, so I will know what a chunk of the script looks like after editing and what I’m doing wrong. Apparently there are characters that need to be added or deleted and I don’t know which ones that is.

    Thanks, I hadn’t realized that.
I was expecting a dashboard something like they wordpress.com blog manager has.

So how do you create and manage multiple blogs under one account in 3.0?
