In reply to: Can’t edit pages using ‘Visual’ Option in 2.8?I did a manual upgrade and editor is fine here. Some others on Twitter tried (after auto upgrade) to manually overwrite the wp-includes folder and suddenly their wysiwyg-editor started working again.

In reply to: [Plugin: Adminimize] How do you reorder menu?the menu is getting reordered for WP v2.5 (so for 2.7 there’s no sense in the reordering). As it says in the numbered list on the plugin page (#4):
new menu structure: on the left hand site you find classic menu points for managing and writing, while the right part is reserved for settings, design, plugins and user settings

In reply to: [Plugin: WYSIWYG Text Widget] doesn’t work in 2.71Btw, I tried it in FF3, Safari and IE7 (all winvista) but it doesn’t work for me. Also tried the edit mentioned in a few posts back, but that didn’t solve it either..
A shame, because this is exactly what my client wants..Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Plugin: WYSIWYG Text Widget] doesn’t work in 2.71@abelcreative: as it says on the author’s plugin page
Known issues
- The plugin doesn’t work (on the admin end) in Google Chrome
- The widget is a bit odd in Firefox. There’s sometimes an intermediate page that shows when you edit a widget, and you might have to click the “Visual” link to see the editor buttons. I’d like to fix these things but don’t have time at the moment (new baby = no time!).

In reply to: [Plugin: MailPress] Custom fields for subscription formThe check is that you allow users to subscribe to a/your newsletter when they are registering on the site.
You should create the special fields from within Register Plus.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Plugin: MailPress] Custom fields for subscription formYou can download the additional module from MailPress (AddOns – MailPress_sync_wordpress_user’. Forgot to mention that, sorry.

In reply to: [Plugin: MailPress] Custom fields for subscription formWell, there is a way to use custom fields, but it’s not built-in with MP (theoretically it should work).
With MP you can select the option to synchronize MP with the WP users (you can activate the option to subscribe to the newsletter in the registration form). With Register Plus you can add multiple custom fields to the profile a/o registration form.
So, in theory, you should be able to use those custom fields in your newsletters (haven’t tested it out though).

In reply to: Name author changes from admin to other userNo problem. I forget about this forum (and my posts/topics on it) too.
Would be nice to get notified when there’s an update in a topic you replied in (and ofcourse be able to delete the subscription on a topic).

In reply to: [Plugin: MailPress] Custom fields for subscription formTo be quite honest: I have no idea, but I don’t think so (you can only change title and subscription button text in widget). Would be a nice feature to add though.
