Hi @almandareo, I don’t seem to remember such “Show sharing buttons” in the giveaway? I just tried finding it but we don’t have such option. Not on the Giveaway settings or on editing/adding Giveaways.
This might have something to do with some other plugin.

the “Limited” giveaway only limits how much subscriber will be able to sign up. Since on such giveaway, we don’t collect entries, all have the same chance of winning.
Higher chance is more random. On the basic algorithm, more entries win, always.
On the second type of win algorithm, we just choose random winners from the pool of subscribers. If you have more entries, you have more chance, for example:
subscriber A has 3 entries
subscriber B has 1 entryThe pool consists of A, A, A, B subscribers. As you can see, subscriber A has a higher chance of winning but subscriber B still can win.

The 2.10.0 version introducing a new algorithm for choosing a winner. You need to choose the second type for picking a winner. You can see the type dropdown under Prizes Info box.

Hi, the update 2.10.0 will show the username if the user has subscribed to the giveaway by being logged in to your WordPress site.
The new update, 2.10.0, should fix that by using the second type of winning.

if someone has more than 1 entry, than it means that, that person has shared it elsewhere and got another person to join (thus giving you a larger email list).
I am currently working on a complete random solution for version 2.10.0. I have just a few other tweaks to do and then I’ll push it online. Working on some GDPR parts and a way to add custom share methods.

Hi @limone111, for now, that is not possible.
Might be possible in a future update since I have already done the part where a logged in user can sign up for the Giveaway.

Hi, it is in the roadmap but have not yet tackled it. I might try to make this happen in the next update.
You can see the list of users for each giveaway so you can maybe remove some? And if you see that someone is getting “fake” entries through many of their emails, in PRO version, you can edit the entries, so you can always make the user entries back to 1.
The other option is also to completely delete that user. Just be careful to state in your RULES section that you retain the right to remove any user from the giveaway if you think the user “cheated” in a way.

this plugin is using the core WordPress mail function. These functionalities are achieved through others plugins for now.
You can try SMTP plugins or some others such as in this article: http://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-change-sender-name-in-outgoing-wordpress-email/
I may include that as a new option in the next update.
