In reply to: New link inserter box can't be closed?It seems to happen most often when I need to change options, like “open in another window.”
I still have the same issue as you guys and noticed it happens whenever I need to add links that open in a new tab, so I need the full options box to open (as it used to before). I find it annoying because after closing the options window, upon which point it seems to hang, nothing would get rid of it. Switching from visual to text mode, hitting return, selecting other stuff.
The workaround I first used was to add the link via the options box as per usual and when it hangs there after, just click so the cursor is on a random space, part of the text or line where there is no link or linked text, and click the “Remove Link” button.
It really shouldn’t be happening at all, but this managed to get rid of the box for me. But I too hope for a prompt fix – it’s quite annoying when you have to add a hundred links, and I’d prefer not to have to resort to more plugins to control it.
That said, someone wrote a plugin that turns off the inline modal link which those of you having issues might find useful: Advanced WPLink https://wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-wplink/
FYI: Enable/disable the inline linking tool via the plugin settings, but it disables it by default on installForum: Plugins
In reply to: [Sociable] Sociable Awesome Feature IdeaHey no worries. I shall do. That is how great things are made even greater IMHO. Especially since we (as users) all have different real-world applications of things and needs, so you can discover ways to improve plugins.
If you had some of these features, i truly think that other people would migrate from other plugins that do offer a bit more customization control, but which they stay using due to the fact they have that control. Even though they are often clunkier and less attractive.
Keep us posted on the next release. Would be great to see what is in store. 🙂

In reply to: [Sociable] [Plugin: Sociable] is not working after the upgradeI’m using the same versions and was finding the same thing. Skyscraper would not save and then when Sociable Classic was enabled it would not display properly – the only icon that showed was G+.
Have you managed to get it showing again on your site?

In reply to: Sociable PluginI have the same issue no upgrade – all icons disappeared and dont show. Removed everything and tried to rollback to the v4.2.4 and still having the same issues.
Un/Re-installing and clearing cache does not work for me. Will have to remove it from all my sites until it works 🙁 Pity as it is the nicest looking plugin there is…IMHO
