Hello again,

This morning I didn’t receive any emails for the daily report or the file check. I also noticed I don’t get any emails alerting me when someone has logged in to the WordPress console or when I update plugins etc. Looks like all these emails are not working.

Is there anything else you can suggest I do?

As WordPress has just had another update, I have received similar File Guard Detection emails and they are all the file types listed above so I know to ignore these.

However, I noticed I didn’t get the usual Daily Activity Report and File Check Detection emails I usually get every morning. I have checked with the NFW plugin and my email notifications are switched on. Did the WordPress Update somehow interfere with this?

I am not getting any error messages on the Overview page and I can see the Live Log is working so I think the firewall is working. I tried the steps above to test the firewall but when I insert my web address in the “your-website” section in the above URL, it flicks to the URL: res://ieframe.dll/http_406.htm with a message saying “Internet Explorer cannot read this webpage format”. Am I doing something wrong?

Thank you for your advice regarding the “File Guard” detection emails. Can you please advise how I would go about to see what exactly has been changed? (i.e. a “before” snapshot of what the file was before so I can compare it to what the file “now is”.) This is all still new to me so it’s not obvious what piece of code should not be there.

The below are some examples. If you could point me in the right direction, that would be really useful:

Thank you for your response.

I have the lite version of Back WP so I don’t have the debugging mode. I deactivated the Backup WP plugin and this WooCommerce PDF Invoices & Packing Slips plugin now seems to work. Is there a way I can test run it and see what the invoices / payslips look like?

HI I have tried this again and it looks like NFW is not in my PHP INI or .htaccess files.

However, now when logging in to my WordPress website, I’m getting error messages regarding the public_html/wp-login.php file. I have amended the file as instructed by the warning messages for 2 hours now and its still not working. Is there anywhere I can get fresh code to put in this file as this is becoming really tedious.

Thanks for your reply. What I mean is when the files get amended/added/deleted, am I correct that NFW will only alert me of this and not actively stop it?
