– can I charge users for individual lessons instead of the whole course only?
It’s impossible, just pay for course.

– can i create time limited access to purchased courses/lessons? (week, month or so)
There is option Duration for each course and lesson.

– can I use my own payment gateway instead of PayPal?
You can use add-on woo payment for LearnPress.

In this case, please try to:

1. Update latest version plugin learnpress to avoid from problem of older version.

2. Active default WordPress theme to definite reason is due to theme or problem of plugin LP. If there is no problem with default theme and LP, it means does not have problem with plugin lp.

3. Deactive one by one plugin of theme to find out any plugin maybe cause.

If problem still reason conflict theme any LP, you just have to choose another plugin.
