    Hello and good morning,

    Thanks for adding the feature to specify thousands and decimal separators.
    With the new feature it is now possible to correctly display the amount in the calculated field on the form.

    HOWEVER:
    There is still an issue which I believe could be easily corrected.

    In the email responder, the calculation field is still using a period as decimal seperator, regardless of the configured one. So in the email responder, as well as in the database, an amount will still look like : 10.000.00 (ten-thousand and zero cents which should be 10.000,00 if decimal seperator is set to a comma. (Usual in Europe).

    I’m hoping that you can take this hint in a furure release of the Caldera forms!

    Kind Regards,
    Hans Albers

    I think I found a way to do this. I assigned a custom class to the calculated field on the form, and made that class hidden in my CSS. I can still add the field to my auto-responder email. This works for me. Maybe this can be helpful to others.

    Dear Takayuki-san,

    I went on and added the CSS example that you described even if I couldn’t find the piece you mentioned that should have been in already, and I’m getting on with it now. I do see the content of the field now!

    I still don’t know why the appearance is different on Chrome vs IE, where the text box with the file name and the button are reversed in order. However that is not such a big problem.

    Many, many thanks for your hint into the right direction!

    Kind Regards,
    Hans

    Dear Takayuki-san,

    I have tried to find the section for input styles in the stylesheet but I can not find it in the way you described it. I do have a custom section in my CSS like this:

    input, textarea {
    background-color: #fff;
    font-color: #000;
    font-family: arial;
    font-size: 14px;
    }

    This is taking care of all input fields throughout my website, incuding the ones that are made with Contact Form 7, but not the file upload inputfield… Also, how can we explain that it works perfectly well with IE, but not with Chrome? And the order in which the field and file-search button are displayed are also reversed with Chrome, compared to IE. I’ve been searching for the CSS section you mentioned but can’t find it, really. Any hint on where to look for it?

    Many thanks again and have a nice day!

    Kind Regards,
    Hans

    Yes, I’ve seen this as well, and decided to work-around the issue by sending the price in the email rounded off to the nearest whole EURO, using the round(x,0) function. I tried round(x,2) as to get two decimals, but then, I would end up with a price like € 4.1 instead of € 4.10 in case the calculation results in an amount as such. My quotes are in hundreds of euros so I don’t mind the few cents calculation difference.

    So it’s not a big deal for me, but it would be nice if there would be a formatting function allowing to mask the numeric output to email as it does in the form.

    Cheers,
    Hans Albers

    Hello Igor,

    Great plugin, I’m very happy with it. I created a price request form, and my site will send an email with the price back to the requester and a BCC to me. That way I can keep track of who is interested in my services.

    I will put my form online, but I’m a little worried that maybe people/spam bots will misuse it to send emails to other people who don’t even know me. In effect, the form allows it.

    Adding a CAPTCHA mechanism would be a great addition for the future at least to prevent automated systems from using my mail system for spam.

    Keep up the good work and many thanks for this plugin!

    Sorry for the delay in response, OpaJaap! But in the mean time, I see that you have already incorporated a fix for this in the new version that I just installaed, and it works great. I like the “NEW” logo that you have included! Many many thanks, if you want to see what it looks like on my site here it is:
