In reply to: Images won’t show on themesMy dashboard says:
The template files are located in wp-content/themes/orchid.
The stylesheet files are located in wp-content/themes/orchid.I set up the image files as follows:
wp-content/themes/orchid/orchid-imagesAs far as the source code, the only thing I can find that refers to anything about images is this:
<input type=”image” src=”http://bebegigi.com/wp-content/themes/orchid/images/search.png” value=”Search” />

In reply to: Site Admin – UploadLooks like it’s back to the drawing board. I’ve followed directions step by step:
1) Permissions are set at either 755 or 777, including my new folder…
2) I’ve created a new folder: my-uploads, in wp-content, under public_html
3) On my Site Admin/Miscellaneous Options, I’ve changed the Destination Directory to:
home/goochie/public_html/wp-content/my-uploads
and the URI to: http://goochiegirl.com/wp-content/my-uploadsStill, nothing. Oh, and I have checked for typos. Any suggestions for Plan B?

In reply to: Uploading imagesOK.. I have a problem where my Uploads area gives me an error message:
” It doesn’t look like you can use the file upload feature at this time because the directory you have specified (home/goochie/public_html/wp-content) doesn’t appear to be writable by WordPress. Check the permissions on the directory and for typos.”Now, I understand that I need to ensure that I have changed the permissions on my FTP, which I have.. from 755 to 777 (on every conceivable WP related folder!) but still no luck! I’m still getting the same error message on Upload.

In reply to: Looking for an image plugin where i can pull images directly off my deskopI am having the same problem as spark12. When I go to my cpanel’s file manager, I select “change file permissions” and change it from 755 to 777, and when I hit “change”, it simply goes back to 755. My webhost doesn’t allow anonymous logins to my FTP, and so it’s possible they won’t allow permissions to be changed? Is this pretty standard?
