In reply to: [Twenty Twenty] Changing text colourHi all
I spent some more time playing with this. When I used the color options on the RHS of the edit page, I could clear the imposed colour there. The colour then reverted to the default (black) colour, and the the Additional CSS worked just fine.

That’s what I found too through trial and error – but it really disappointing that the UM support hasn’t offered anything further.
I think when buying the UM plugin you have to assume you’re on your own thereafter.
But thank you for the reply.
I have to say the Ultimate Member support is appallingly bad.
Very almost 3 days later, and their only response has been to ask what the previous version was. And nothing since.
As soon as Formidable Forms includes a couple of bits of additional functionality like role-dependent menus, I shall be moving all my stuff over.
UM support is hopeless.
Thanks @heyitsa – that does fix it in a sense, but I don’t want to see the profile menu that then appears on the screen. Its not really appropriate given the way our website is set up.
I think this is a bug that’s been introduced in the latest upgrade.
Thank you – I will try that.
They do not receive an email.
Thanks,
Glenn
As a experience in how Ultimate Member is supported, this is really disappointing.
The initial reply was basically a ‘try switching it on and off again’ message – which is fair enough to eliminate the obvious reasons, but I’ve heard nothing more since.
It feels very much like Support send out a quick catch-all response, and if that doesn’t work then you’re on your own.
There’s many plugins that perform similar functions and I’ll now be looking for an alternative.
Hi there
Just a quick request to get a response to my response above. This looks to me to be a bug in the plugin, and until I know more I’m really stuck.
I have people wanting to sign-up, but I’m turning them away because of the problems with saving their data.
Thanks,
GlennHi there
Thanks very much for the reply, and for being quick. This problem is preventing users from using the website, so the speed is much appreciated.
The only plugins installed are Redirection, Ultimate Member and the Ultimate Member extension for Terms & Conditions. No other plugins are installed.
I’ve done the conflict test, and the problem still remains (I changed the theme to 2015, and deactivated the Redirection and Terms & Conditions extension).
I’ve also done some more testing, and I think I can be more specific about the problem. The problem is with checkboxes I’ve created (i.e. custom fields in the user meta table).
When I select only one of the options, there is no problem. The problem happens when I select more than one option, specifically:
– I edit the profile and select more than one option in the list of options presented in the checkbox.
– I save the changes
– when I view the profile all selected options are shown
– when I then edit the profile (again), the selected options have gone. And this is the interesting bit: this only happens when the checkbox has a conditional rule that states that it should only appear if the previous checkbox is flagged as ‘Yes’. When I take away this conditional rule, the problem disappears.
Thanks,
Glenn
Hi there
Thanks for the reply.
I looked again, and embarassingly, this was my mistake. The user I was using to test with was not assigned with the correct Role and was therefore directed to the default Profile form, rather than the one I was amending…
Thank you very much though, and apologies for taking your time.
All the best,
Glenn
