    Hello,

It is now the following day and, as you instructed, I have removed the existing Popup Builder plugin and replaced it with the version you provided. I have cleared server and browser caches, as well as viewing the site on incognito using both a broadband connection and a 4G connection, unfortunately it is still not working.

I am not sure what further information I could give you which might help to identify the cause of the issue, as I myself have been unable to do so, but I will try to explain in perfect detail what has happened over time as well as how the plugin is being implemented…

When the plugin was first installed, it was working fine and we were very pleased with how it was doing its job. However, over time it started to behave more strangely. The first issue which I was unable to resolve was that some pages which have 2 pop-ups will only display one of them.

For example, say a page has pop-up A and pop-up B, if you click pop-up B first, you will never be able to view pop-up A until the cache is cleared. Once the cache is cleared, if you click pop-up A, you can then never view pop-up B.

You can see an example of this at “/zarafa-camp/”. In the sidebar on the right, there is a “My Rating” title with a small blue icon next to it. This small blue icon opens another pop-up providing information on the rating system. This pop-up is the same on all pages, and is also triggered using an on-click class-name of “.rating-info”. You’ll see that it, too, does not currently work.

After spending hours trying to resolve it, I had to leave this issue to resolve for later as other more important issues were coming up. Unfortunately though, eventually, the pop-ups stopped displaying at all. By clearing caches, the pop-ups would usually begin displaying again but after a short amount of time, they would stop working once more.

The last thing I did to fix the site was to remove WPOptimize as I noticed that the galleries would work with ?ao_noptimize=1 at the end of the URL. I cleared the caches and reported back to the client that the galleries were working but by the time she was able to check, they had stopped working again!

We have these pop-up galleries on most pages on the site. The example page we sent has a section titled “Visit Kenya” which has cursor: pointer CSS on it, indicating that it should be clickable. It is assigned the class “.kenya-gallery” which is being used by the popup builder plugin as the on-click trigger for displaying the appropriate Kenya Gallery.

This same setup is used on many destination, accommodation, and region pages (including a few others) and each one has it’s own “.[name]-gallery” class section and a popup assigned to open when that class is clicked.

As I said, this used to work fine but now does not. I hope that maybe this additional and in-depth explanation will help you to identify what the cause may be. If there is some secure way for me to provide you with login details which you can use to take a look for yourself, then please let me know and I’d be happy to do that.

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated as I have been having trouble with this plugin for far too long now.
