Same problem here.
I got the DB errors after 3.6.5 -> 3.6.6 upgrade, with WP 3.4.2
Upgrading to WP 3.5 didn’t solve anything; reverting to 3.6.5 fixed the issue.

Hosting: MySQL 5.5 / PHP 5.3.2.
