I have exactly the Event date problem myself and I’m curious how the issues was “resolved”. Says [resolved] so in the title.
PageMash is awesome. An obvious candidate to inclusion into core, IMHO.
The only solution I’ve found is to:
1. Put the date at the beginning of the content field.
2. Sort by content.
Dumb, but it works.
