I’ll take this que to hold off on updating
Drastically slowed my site down, especially on the page to where all the links to albums were. Not tolerable. I promptly reverted to previous and site is speedy again. Appears with the beta testing on released stuff and now other changes, I haven’t time to fart around with playing and trouble shooting. Reckon ya’ll gonna force me into a theme update sooner than expected to where I won’t need this plugin.
End my partial rant
Sorry, I have no idea in that scenario other than trying to approach it from another way other than within WP. Too many variables out there

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] W3 Total cache creates tens of thousands inodesWith the temperamental tendencies of using this caching plugin and the latest extra bloat in the admin panel I’ve opted to uninstall it and use another. Sorry Frederick, but my life and time spent has been better since.

In reply to: [Redirection] Probably the most valued plugin I haveCurious, what version of plugin are you using?
The thought of this getting phased out had crossed my mind and yet I would have though any reference pertaining to it would have been eliminated already. Thanks for the reply and POA (plan of action)
Put the correct path in the box and save the settings
Quite possibly because a file or two is missing. Has nothing to do with uploading-deactivating and all that other nonsense.
I’ve an error calling for upgrade.php
wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/admin/upgrade.php) [function.include-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /…/…/public_html/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/admin/settings.php on line 201
Well that upgrade.php file is not in the zip. I checked by manually re-downloading and it’s not in there, but it IS in the previous version.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Feedburner not WorkingI had same problem. Also option in my theme to select ‘feedburner link’ I was using the feed smith plugin too …Why, Probably because ran into this issues before during updates and theme updates. After this last scenario, I made sure my theme has right feedburner url (old vs new) – uninstalled feedsmith. It worked except now email option wasn’t available.
Put this in htaccess (edit accordingly to your site)
# Redirect feeds to FeedBurner # uncomment to enable and replace the URL in the RewriteRule with your own #<IfModule mod_rewrite.c> # RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^/feed/ [NC] # RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} !(FeedBurner|FeedValidator) [NC] # RewriteRule .* http://feeds.feedburner.com/exampleFeedURL [L,R=302] #</IfModule>Everything is working as of now…at least until a next update :/

In reply to: Email From WordPress.org (This Place)I thank you for the response Chris and the time it took for you to do this. Much appreciated.
Ironic, I got the email notice for this response (First one!! Finally) Go figure as it was the lack of said email notices for the very reason of this post.
I know the domain names weren’t blocked, perhaps their was an issue in the past with an ip?!? That said, is working now 🙂Thanks again!!

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] I give upI’ve managed to get the update working without issues, I am on a VPS which allows me more options. Admittedly I was hesitant and followed peoples issues that were reported. I prepared for the worse (backed up and everything) and pulled the trigger. I disabled everything first, then deactivated and then updated. That said, I am a remodeling contractor by trade with a slight geeky background.
Uninstall completely, is another option some have recommended, and deleting certain directories. Starting from scratch

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] everything is broke@frederick Lot of stuff going on, I know. Some plugins I wait to update after initial release. Especially after the last major change with yours. I give yo credit for what you do with it. Kudos
