It seems that Revisionary may no longer be maintained (last update seems to be Dec 2013). So, this may be a losing battle. I’m not aware of another plugin that provides the ability of authors to create (but not publish) revisions of already published content. That’s essentially what I’m after.
Wow, I have to apologize – I just realized that we had a plugin called Revisionary enabled. It’s been there so long that I had forgotten that I wasn’t dealing with standard WordPress revision system any more.
So Revisionary doesn’t correctly preserve the field where the markdown content is stored, I guess. When I disable it, I can’t get into the failed state at all (which makes sense, because you can’t even have a revision that’s not published without the Revisionary plugin).
Kind of a bummer, though, because we rely on the ability for authors to submit revisions of published posts for editorial review before the revisions get published. Not sure how to resolve that issue. Offhand, are there other revision plugins that are considered compatible with Jetpack?
